🔼 Home Win. Boise State women’s hoops picked up a big home win over Colorado State on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Rams, 62-59. Tatum Thompson led the way for the Broncos with 25 points and seven rebounds, while Libby Hutton added 15 points and six boards, Dani Bayes tallied a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Mya Hansen and Natalie Pasco each added five points.
The Broncos are back at it on Wednesday against Wyoming at home. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and you can grab your tickets here.

🔼 On the Court. Boise State men’s tennis was back on the court this weekend at the Sun Devil Preseason Invitational in Arizona. The Broncos took on No. 21 Oklahoma, Arizona State, and Idaho while recording multiple singles and doubles wins. Stewart Aronson went undefeated across both days in singles and doubles, while Taiyo Kurata won all of his singles matches.
Boise State will host Princeton for the first match of the season on Jan. 17 at 3 p.m. MT at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center.

🔼 Up Next. Boise State men’s basketball fell to Utah State, 93-68, on Saturday night at ExtraMile Arena. Dylan Andrews led the way for the Broncos with 16 points, while Pearson Carmichael and Dominic Parolin each added 12 off the bench. The Broncos are back at it on Tuesday against UNLV on the road at 9 p.m. MT.

🔼 Welcome Home. Boise State football announced two additions to its coaching staff to close out last week. The Broncos welcomed Terrence Brown as the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach after Brown spent the last four seasons at Cal. Brown’s career coaching stops include Vanderbilt and Washington, while his playing career was at Stanford. In 2019 and 2020, Brown landed on the 247 Sports 30Under30 coaches list.

Alvis Whitted also joined the staff as the pass game coordinator and wide receivers coach. Whitted worked as North Carolina State’s senior offensive analyst last season as the Wolfpack finished with an 8-5 record and win in the Gasparilla Bowl. Whitted, a former NFL wide receiver, previously coached the position at Utah and Colorado State.

🔼 Season Opener. Boise State gymnastics dropped its season opener to Southern Utah on Friday night, 195.675-194.300. The Broncos tied the Flippin’ Birds in vault at 48.775, with Julia Krzywanski leading the way for Boise State with a 9.825 on the apparatus. Kylee Hamby finished in a third-place tie on bars and Miraya Nero competed in all-around with the meet’s third-highest score. The Broncos will participate in another dual on Friday, Jan. 16 at BYU at 7 p.m.
