🔼 B1 Feature: Celebrating 50 Years of Athletic Training. Boise State’s athletic training program marks its 50th year, built on a partnership with Bronco Athletics that puts students alongside working athletic trainers through eight-week clinical rotations. The program has held national accreditation since 1982, the first year it was offered, and today’s Master of Athletic Training students rotate through roughly 40 clinical sites across the Treasure Valley before heading into high schools, hospitals, the military, and beyond. Current director Dave Hammons came up through it himself, studying under founding figures Ron Pfeiffer and Gary Craner, and the results speak for themselves with a 95% job placement rate at graduation.

🔼 Honored Twice Over. Maddux Madsen picked up two national awards nods this week, named a semifinalist for the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year and a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which goes to college football’s top scholar-athlete. The fifth-year captain earned his bachelor’s degree in May with a 3.68 GPA and works with BroncoBOLD, a student-athlete-led mental health initiative, while on the field he’s thrown 13 touchdowns without an interception and guided Boise State to a 5-1 start and a No. 21 AP ranking.

Campbell Trophy honors come at the NFF Annual Awards Dinner in Las Vegas on Dec. 8, where former Bronco coach Chris Petersen will be recognized as part of the College Football Hall of Fame class, and the Witten winner will be named March 11 at AT&T Stadium.

🔼 Get Your Seats. Single-game tickets for Boise State men’s basketball’s home nonconference slate are on sale now, covering eight games at ExtraMile Arena that start with the Nov. 4 opener against West Coast Baptist, followed by Butler on Nov. 8 and Oakland on Nov. 11. Season tickets and Elite Packs remain available starting at $99, with the full season package covering all 16 home dates and the Elite Pack bundling six contests including five Pac-12 matchups. Groups of 15 or more can get a discounted rate through the athletic ticket office.

Women’s basketball single-game tickets are also live, running $10 for adult general admission and $5 for kids under 18, with reserved seats at $15 and courtside at $20. Season tickets start at $50, and a general admission family four pack goes for $120. The Broncos host 19 games at ExtraMile Arena this season, including eight against Pac-12 opponents, and return nine players from last year’s roster, among them Mountain West All-Tournament pick Libby Hutton.

🔼 Stingy & Streaking. Boise State soccer heads to Colorado State tonight at 6 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 YouTube carrying the conference’s best goals against average, the league’s top save percentage, and a +28 goal differential that ranks fifth nationally. Freshman Campbell Wilson leads all first-year players in the country with 29 points, while goalkeeper Ava de Leest has posted eight shutouts and ranks ninth nationally at .413 goals against. The Broncos have never lost to the Rams, holding an 8-0-4 edge since the series began in 2013.

🔼 Last Call at The X. Boise State volleyball closes out its ExtraMile Arena schedule this week, hosting Utah State tonight at 6 p.m. MT and Colorado State on Saturday at noon MT, both streaming on Pac-12 YouTube. The Broncos lead the Pac-12 in sweeps, digs, and service aces, and already handled the Aggies 3-1 in Logan earlier this month, while the Rams arrive undefeated in conference play at 7-0. Freshman Azlynn Tittmann, the only Pac-12 freshman to earn a weekly honor this season, torched Utah State for a career-high 21 kills in that first meeting.

🔼 Coach on the List. Spencer Danielson is one of 28 head coaches on the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award watch list, the only Pac-12 coach and one of six from the Group of Six to make it. He has the Broncos at 5-1 and ranked No. 21 in the AP Poll at the midway point, and he’ll chase his 30th career win Saturday against Washington State. Danielson already shares rare company with Lincoln Riley as the only coaches to win three straight FBS conference titles in their first three seasons.

🔼 Ranked & Ready. The Week 5 rankings are in, and Boise State women’s cross country is 7th in the West Region, while the men’s squad checks in at No. 8.

🎃 Spooky Season. It’s time to get spooky with Boise State volleyball! This Saturday’s game at The X will feature a costume contest and free admission for kids 12 and under who arrive in costume. The match gets underway at noon against Colorado State. Tickets are available here.
