Good Morning, Bronco Nation!

What else is mixed into today’s edition of Good Morning, Bronco Nation?

👟 Hosting Duties
⚽ Win & In
🔹 And so much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Hosting Duties. Boise State cross country hosts the Pac-12 Championships today at Warm Springs Golf Course, where the first trophy of the new Pac-12 era will be awarded across all sports! The course is a 2,000-meter loop, with the women running it three times and the men four. It’s the first conference championship meet the Broncos have hosted since the 2023 Mountain West Championships at Eagle Island, and both squads finished runner-up at last year’s conference meet. We’ll see you out there!

🔼 The Legend Returns. Kellen Moore comes back to The Blue on Saturday night to raise the Blue Chaos flag and see his 11-foot bronze statue unveiled at halftime against Texas State. His statue will live permanently outside the northeast corner of Albertsons Stadium, the second on the grounds alongside Lyle Smith.

🔼 Win & In. Boise State soccer closes the regular season tonight at Texas State with a Pac-12 Championship berth on the line. With a win, the Broncos clinch their spot in the four-team Pac-12 tournament. Boise State leads the conference in goals against average, save percentage, and shutouts while allowing the fewest goals in the league, and freshman Campbell Wilson brings the most points of any first-year player in the country. It’s the first meeting ever between the programs, and Texas State’s Victoria Meza is tied with Wilson for the Pac-12 goals lead.

🔼 Clean Sweep. Boise State volleyball took down San Diego State in straight sets on the road last night, closing out 25-19, 25-23, 25-21. Sydney Dreves led the way with 14 kills and 10 digs for a double-double, while Reese Weinert and Savannah Sheridan hit better than .460 off the bench of the attack. The Broncos out-hit the Aztecs .294 to .186 and held a 7-4 edge in service aces.

🔼 Impact Players. Dovydas Butka and Damari Wheeler-Thomas have been named to the Pac-12 Preseason Impact List, selected by the league’s nine head coaches as Boise State’s representatives on the 18-player slate. Butka arrives from Campbell, where he scored in double figures in 24 of 31 games as a starter, while Wheeler-Thomas comes off a season at North Dakota State that ended with Summit League tournament MVP honors and an NCAA Tournament game against Michigan State.

Libby Hutton and CJ Latta landed on the Pac-12 Preseason Impact List. Hutton started all but one game last season, pacing the Broncos in field-goal percentage and blocks while posting the first three double-doubles of her career. Latta, an Idaho native, arrives after stops at San Diego State and Utah State, and Boise State drew a fifth-place slot in the preseason media poll ahead of its Nov. 2 opener against Bushnell.

🔼 Desert Bound. Boise State women’s tennis heads to Tempe for the Thunderbird Invitational. Stella Beldiman, Carla Grignac, Paula Schaefer, and Valentina Vachkova make the trip, with all four in the singles draw and two doubles pairings in the mix. The Broncos are coming off the Pac-12 Fall Qualifiers, where Allison Isaacs and Tereza Polakova each reached the second round in singles.
