🔼 Strong Showing. Boise State women’s tennis’ Tereza Polakova and Masa Viriant delivered standout performances, placing third and fourth, respectively, at the Mountain West Fall Qualifiers in Las Vegas. In singles play, Viriant cruised into the semis in straight sets, while Polakova battled through three-set matches in all rounds to reach her semifinal. The two Broncos flipped a coin to decide the third-place finish, with Polakova drawing the win as finishing third. The squad will get ready to head to the ITA Mountain Region Championships beginning Oct. 7.

🔼 In the Sand. Avery Allen and Ava Anderson kicked off the fall beach volleyball season in style, finishing third at the Alki AVCA Qualifier in Seattle. The pair stormed through the early rounds with wins in their first two matches before falling in the semifinal to a top Washington duo. Allen and Anderson bounced back quickly and closed out the tournament with a straight-set win to claim third place. Meanwhile, partners Allyson Alden and Elli Wolthuis rallied through the consolation bracket, winning three in a row to take that crown.

Boise State’s defense came ready too, with Ty Benefield posting eight tackles and a forced fumble, and Jake Ripp adding six tackles and 1.5 for loss.

While turnovers proved costly, the Broncos held strong against a Top-25 opponent in front of 77,622 fans, marking the fifth-largest crowd of any game in Boise State history.
