Good Morning, Bronco Nation!

What else is mixed into today’s edition of Good Morning, Bronco Nation?

🏈 Chaos on The Blue
🎟️ Ticket Punched
🔹 And so much more!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Chaos on The Blue. Pac-12 After Dark delivered everything it promised, and Boise State came out the other side 46-45 with its seventh straight win. Backup Max Cutforth stepped in after Maddux Madsen went down and immediately started slinging touchdowns, three of them in the fourth quarter alone. Freshman Rasean Jones caught two of those on his way to a career night of nine grabs, 117 yards, and three scores, and Akeem Wright hauled in the game-winner with 2:41 on the clock before Jaden Mickey broke up a fourth-down pass to end it.

🔼 New League, New Season. Boise State women’s basketball opens its first Pac-12 campaign this morning at home against Bushnell, tipping at 11 a.m. MT on Pac-12 YouTube and 670 KBOI AM. The Broncos haven’t lost a nonconference home game since December 2022, a streak now sitting at 22 straight, and Gordy Presnell is 18-3 in season openers with wins in each of the last four. Presnell starts his 40th year as an NCAA head coach, the second-longest active run in the country behind only Geno Auriemma.

🔼 Ticket Punched. Boise State soccer clinched a spot in the Pac-12 Championship with a 4-0 win at Texas State, scoring all four goals inside a 21-minute stretch of the second half. Sophie Schmautz, Madie Donovan, Campbell Wilson, and Asia Lawyer each found the net, while Ava de Leest made four saves for her 10th shutout of the season. Wilson’s goal moved her into sole possession of fifth place for goals in a single season in program history, and the Broncos can clinch a share of the regular season title Thursday against Washington State.

🔼 Road Sweep Complete. Boise State volleyball dropped the opening set at Texas State and then took the next three to close out a 3-1 win and a perfect road trip. Kendall Hastings led the way with 15 kills, Sydney Dreves added 14 along with 13 digs for her eighth double-double of the season, and Azlynn Tittmann chipped in 13. Reese Weinert put up a career-high seven blocks as the Broncos held the Bobcats to a .090 attack percentage, and the win marked Boise State’s first ever in San Marcos.

🔼 Runner-Up on Home Turf. The Boise State women took second at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships in front of a home crowd, placing four runners inside the top 20 behind Kaiya Robertson’s runner-up finish and Nanette Novak in sixth. Robertson and Novak earned First Team All-Pac-12 honors, Haley Blaine made the second team, and Bianca Boehnke was named Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The men took fourth, led by Brian Kiprotich’s third-place run and a first-team nod of his own.

🔼 Season Tips Off. Boise State men’s basketball opens the regular season Wednesday against West Coast Baptist at ExtraMile Arena, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. MT on the Pac-12’s YouTube page and KBOI 670 AM. The Broncos arrive riding a 104-37 rout of Bismarck State that capped a perfect exhibition slate, one in which they cleared 100 points twice and won by a combined 95. Bhan Buom posted a career-high 14 in the finale, and all 12 Broncos who played scored.
