🔼 That’s Our Guy. Boise State defensive coordinator Erik Chinander was nominated for the Broyles Award, recognizing the nation’s top assistant coach. Chinander’s defense ranks 29th nationally, allowing only 165.5 passing yards per game and totaling 20 takeaways this season. The Broncos’ defense has improved significantly under Chinander’s leadership, particularly after he moved from the press box to the field.

🔼 Terrific Trio. Three Bronco volleyball players earned All-Mountain West honors! Eliza Sharp was named the 2025 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and landed on the All-Mountain West team. She is joined by Layla Smith on the team. Arianna Bilby earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention.

Boise State will play No. 5 seed Grand Canyon in the first round of the 2025 Mountain West Volleyball Championship today at 2 p.m.

🔼 Super Six. Boise State women’s soccer placed six on the CSC Academic All-District Team — Jillian Anderson, Ali Chatterton, Olivia Collins, Asia Lawyer, Kenzie MacMillan, and Siena Zunino. To be eligible, student-athletes must have played in at least 90% of the team’s competitions or started at least 66% of total matches while holding a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

🔼 Fell Short. Bronco men’s basketball fell to NC State 81-70 at the Southwest Maui Invitational. Three Broncos scored in double figures, led by Dylan Andrews, who scored a game-high 26 points. He knocked down five threes, becoming the first Bronco to make five or more since last January. The Broncos will wrap up the Southwest Maui Invitational today.

🔼 Hoopin’ In Paradise. Boise State women’s basketball is in the U.S. Virgin Islands this week for Paradise Jam. The Broncos will play North Dakota tomorrow at 1 p.m. on ESPN+. They’ll continue play on Friday against either Elon or Tulane.

🔼 Next Steps. Boise State men’s basketball is implementing a full reseating of ExtraMile Arena starting with the 2026-27 season to strengthen home-court advantage and elevate the fan experience. This includes a new high-energy courtside fan section called the Blue Chaos Fan Section. Season ticket holders will select new seats based on a priority system that rewards loyalty.
