Good Morning, Bronco Nation!

Cindy Conner put all four of her shots on frame and buried one of them off a Madie Donovan feed, and that was enough to lock up at least a piece of the Pac-12 regular-season title for Boise State soccer. Ava de Leest handled the other end, turning away six shots for the clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Washington State. The Broncos outshot the Cougars and took more corners on the night. The Pac-12 Tournament is up next!

What else is mixed into today’s edition of Good Morning, Bronco Nation?

🦃 Bring a Can, Catch a Game
🏀 Home Cooking Continues
🔹 And so much more!

🔼 B1 Feature: A Fit for Boise State’s Built Different Culture. Mikaio Edward entered the transfer portal from Central Washington with more than 15 offers coming his way, and Boise State had him signed within two days of first showing up on their radar. Director of Recruiting Shauny Fisk, a Central Washington grad herself, already knew exactly who he was when general manager Brandon Jones asked about him. Frank Maile calls him “contagious”; he’s the kind of teammate who makes everyone around him work harder.

🔼 Bring a Can, Catch a Game. We’ve got an easy deal to make here: donate non-perishable items at The X and get yourself into a Boise State basketball game! Tuesday’s drop-off earns a free ticket to the women’s game against CSUN at 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday’s gets you a $5 balcony seat for the men against Oakland at 7 p.m. Donations go to the Boise State Campus Food Pantry, with the truck staged outside Entry 2.

🔼 Home Cooking Continues. Nobody’s beaten Boise State in a nonconference home game in nearly four years, and Portland State will take a crack at the streak tonight at 6:30 p.m. MT. The Broncos have won 23 straight in that category and have never lost to the Vikings at ExtraMile Arena, holding a 29-11 edge in the all-time series. CJ Latta arrives off a debut that produced a program record for threes in a first game!

🔼 Still Streaking. Seven straight wins and the lone undefeated record in Pac-12 play are on the line when the Broncos head to Fort Collins tomorrow afternoon with a 4 p.m. MT kickoff on USA Sports. Boise State owns this series 13-1 all time, though the Rams took the last meeting in Fort Collins back in 2023. A win would also stretch the program’s run of winning seasons to 29 in a row, the longest active streak in the country. Full preview here.

🔼 Leg Work Pays Off. Oscar Doyle made the midseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award, the honor that goes to the nation’s top punter. The senior’s career average at Boise State ranks third in program history, and he earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention a year ago.

🔼 Max Bid Earned Again. It’s the third straight year that Boise State beach volleyball is sending the maximum two pairs to the AVCA National Pairs Championship this weekend! Addison Wolden makes her third consecutive appearance, this time alongside freshman Kate MacDonald as the 28 seed, while Avery Allen and Keira Demirjian earned the 31 spot after a runner-up finish at the Alki AVCA Qualifier. The rest of the roster heads to the Grand Canyon Pairs Tournament starting tomorrow.

Gordy Presnell has the nation’s second-longest active coaching tenure. Which season is he entering?
