Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Boise State soccer won a shootout thriller last night over San Diego State! The Broncos battled back from a 1-0 deficit on Jillian Anderson’s second-half goal, then won the shootout with three goals. Kenzie MacMillan broke the Boise State single-season assist record with nine this season, while Ava de Leest notched six saves.

Cindy Conner, Madie Donovan, and Olivia Collins buried shootout goals for the Broncos, who advance to the MW Championship game on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. MT against Utah State.

🔼 Trophy Nomination. Boise State linebacker Boen Phelps is a nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, given every year to the most outstanding college football player who began his career as a walk-on. Phelps, who walked on in 2023 and earned a scholarship before the 2025 season, is fifth on the team in total tackles and solo tackles, and is the only Bronco with an interception and fumble recovery.

🔼 The Book Guy. Former Boise State EDGE rusher Demitri Washington is now a member of the coaching staff with the Broncos. It didn’t take him long to fill a unique role with the program. Here’s why Washington is known as Boise State’s “Book Guy.”

🔼 Broncos in the NFL. Week 10 gets underway in the NFL tonight with 11 former Boise State players on the field, including 10 as players and one as a head coach.

Thursday Night Football will pit Ashton Jeanty vs. JL Skinner as the Raiders and Broncos go head-to-head, while Khalil Shakir and Cedrick Wilson Jr. will also meet on Sunday when the Bills take on the Dolphins.

Jeanty rushed for a team-high 42 yards and added a season-high 47 receiving yards and a TD in Las Vegas’ OT loss to Jacksonville last week, while Skinner played 22 snaps and recorded a solo tackle in Denver’s win. Shakir also led the team with seven catches as the Bills beat the Chiefs, while Wilson hauled in one catch for seven yards in Miami’s loss.

Ezra Cleveland played 70 snaps in Jacksonville’s win, though he missed OT due to injury, which ended his eight-game streak of playing every offensive snap. The Jaguars are at Houston as part of Sunday’s late afternoon slate.

DeMarcus Lawrence added two tackles and half a sack in Seattle’s win over the Commanders, while George Holani had nine rushing yards and 29 kick return yards for the Seahawks. Seattle takes on the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon. Washington’s John Bates posted his first multi-reception game of the season for the Commanders, while Jeremy McNichols played 20 snaps. The Commanders battle the Lions on Sunday.

The Chargers’ Scott Matlock logged his first NFL touchdown last week as the Chargers beat the Titans, becoming the only NFL player this season to play 25+ offensive snaps, 3+ defensive snaps, and 10+ special teams snaps in a single game. The Chargers are on Sunday Night Football against the Steelers.

Finally, head coach Kellen Moore will lead the Saints against the Panthers on Sunday in the early afternoon slate.
