Good Morning, Boise State 3/10: Going Abroad
Plus: Twice as nice for Drew Fielder.
Good Morning, Bronco Nation!
What a run it’s been! Boise State women's basketball’s MW Championship run came to a heartbreaking end with a 68-66 semifinal loss to Air Force in Las Vegas, but Boise State (25-9, 14-6 MW) has plenty to hang its hat on. Head coach Gordy Presnell set the Mountain West record for tournament wins with his 23rd earlier in the bracket, and Libby Hutton was electric in the semifinal with a career-high-tying 25 points on 10 field goals.

The Broncos are the only MW team with three 400-point scorers this season: Tatum Thompson (482), Natalie Pasco (425), and Dani Bayes (418), a feat matched nationally by only South Carolina and UCLA. A season-high 46 bench points showed this team's depth right to the end,

🔼 Conference Honors. Drew Fielder earned his second Mountain West Player of the Week award after averaging 28.0 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 68 percent from the field in wins over San Diego State and Colorado State, including a career-high 33 points against the Aztecs. He leads the MW in field goal percentage at 55 percent and is the only player in the conference averaging at least 14 points, five rebounds, and one assist at that clip. Boise State opens the MW Championship tomorrow against San Jose State at 9:30 p.m. MT.

🔼 Going Abroad. Boise State played host to 29 teenage and young adult adaptive athletes and chaperones from six countries (Italy, the Philippines, Serbia, Slovenia, Tunisia, and Uruguay) as part of the U.S. State Department's Sports Visitor Program. The group spent a day on campus experiencing the School of Kinesiology's Adaptive Athletics Program, trying wheelchair tennis at the Rec Center, and touring athletics facilities, including the Arguinchona Basketball Complex and The Blue, where five Bronco football players shared what life is like as a Division I student-athlete. The two-week U.S. exchange focused on winter adaptive sports and community action planning, with stops in Utah and Sun Valley before arriving in Boise.
🔼 Day One. Day One is in the books at the Juli Inkster Invitational for Boise State women’s golf! The tournament concludes today; live scoring here.
🔼 54 Holes. Boise State men’s golf is through the first 18 holes at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational with another 36 to go today. Keep up with the action here.

🔼 Built Different. Boise State Athletics is rolling out a new perk for members of its Built Different Network: free job postings on the Boise State Athlete Network through June 30, connecting Idaho businesses directly with current and former Bronco student-athletes. Launched in September 2025, the Built Different Network already has nearly 150 local companies on board, and the Athlete Network platform boasts over 3,900 registered current and former Broncos. Interested Built Different Network members can submit job postings through a link on the Boise State Athletics website.
🔼 Go Time. It’s almost time for Boise State track & field to compete at the NCAA Championships!
