Good Morning, Boise State 3/13: Championships Time
Plus: Senior Night for Boise State gymnastics.
Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Landon Helms and Kaiya Robertson will represent Boise State at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Fayetteville today and tomorrow. Helms competes in the heptathlon with the eighth-best mark in the country and holds the BSU program record at 5,964 points.

Robertson runs the mile with a season-best 4:24.51, the sixth-fastest time in the nation, making her the first female Bronco at the meet since 2023 and the first to qualify in the mile since Alexis Fuller earned All-America honors in 2019. Both previously earned All-America recognition at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

🔼 Meet Day. Boise State gymnastics is set to honor its seniors tonight in Boise. Doors open at 5 p.m., and tickets are available here.

🔼 Sticking the Landing. This week's feature profiles senior gymnast Sydney Kho, whose path to Boise State was paved by older sisters Caitlin and Kaylee, both former collegiate gymnasts at Southern Utah. Growing up training alongside them in club gymnastics in the LA area, Sydney followed their footsteps to the college level and even got to compete against them in MW meets. Now a senior leader for the Broncos, Kho has appeared in BSU's vault lineup in nearly every meet since arriving and has competed at NCAA Regionals for three straight years. Coach Tina Bird praised her growth into a true leader whom the younger athletes look up to.

🔼 Hold Serve. Boise State men’s tennis, now ranked No. 61 in the nation, welcomes a loaded slate this weekend, taking on No. 72 Cal Poly and Montana State today before facing No. 38 Santa Clara and DePaul on Saturday. Seven Bronco players are closing in on 20 singles wins this season, with Taiyo Kurata and two-time MW Freshman of the Week Filip Soderqvist needing just two more. Boise State holds a dominant 27-match winning streak over Montana State (dating to 1991) and has won the last six against Santa Clara. The Broncos are coming off a strong Spring Invitational showing that included a ranked win over No. 56 BYU.

🔼 On Court. The defending MW Tournament champion Boise State women’s tennis squad (8-2) begins conference play with back-to-back road matches: at Colorado State today (1 p.m. MT) and at Wyoming on Sunday (11 a.m. MT). BSU is riding a seven-match winning streak, including four consecutive sweeps, and is ranked No. 47 in the UTR Sports rankings and No. 68 by the ITA. Full preview here.

🔼 On Sand. Boise State beach volleyball (4-4) returns from a bye week to play four matches at the Carolina Challenge in South Carolina, opening today against No. 20 South Carolina (9 a.m. MT) before facing UNC Wilmington, Jacksonville, and College of Charleston across the weekend. Boise State is receiving votes in the AVCA poll, led by the duo of Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden at 6-2 with two ranked wins. Full preview here.
