Good Morning, Boise State 3/17: Gymnastics' Mic Drop Finale
The Boise State gymnastics squad celebrated its senior class with a season-best score of 196.775, defeating No. 22 Southern Utah (196.125), Friday.
Good Morning, Bronco Nation! The Boise State gymnastics squad celebrated its senior class with a season-best score of 196.775, defeating No. 22 Southern Utah (196.125), Friday. Emily Lopez (bars), Kristina Shchennikova (beam) and Julia Melchert (floor) collected event titles for the Broncos, who finished the regular season with a 5-0 record at home.
Entering the final rotation, the senior-led floor lineup posted a season-high 49.400 to earn the final advantage. Boise State notched its second-highest bars score of the year.

🔼 Bronco Bold Right to the Buzzer. Despite a second-consecutive 20-point performance by Tyson Degenhart, Boise State fell, 69-56, to Colorado State in the Mountain West Basketball Championship final on Saturday afternoon.
Degenhart was the Broncos' lone double-figure scorer, totaling a team-high 22 points. The performance marked his 13th 20-point game of the season, which is tied for third most among all Mountain West players this season.

🔼 Stumble in San Jose. The Boise State women's tennis team fell to San Jose State 4-2 in its first road conference match of the season, Sunday afternoon in San Jose, California.
Zdena Safarova won her tenth singles match this fall and is on a four-match win streak. Beck Roghaar's 166 wins are 15 shy of the most career wins by a head coach in Boise State history.

🔼 Knight’s Numbers Not Quite Enough. The Boise State softball team lost a lead late for the second-straight game and was defeated 3-2 by Fresno State, Sunday.
Sophia Knight extended her hitting streak to 30 to become the 12th player in NCAA Division I history to accomplish the feat. Her streak is tied for ninth-best all-time, and she also stretched her school-record on-base streak to 42. Leah McAnally recorded her second multi-hit game of the weekend and her 13th-career, multi-RBI game.

🔼 Putting the Zing in the Spring Fling. The Boise State's men's tennis team raced past the Montana State Bobcats 7-0 on Saturday, the final day of the Spring Fling tournament at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. With the win, 38th-ranked Boise State improved to 12-4 on the year.
James Van Herzeele recorded his 73rd career singles victory, tying 19th all-time at Boise State.
