Good Morning, Boise State 3/28: John Chin's Eyes On the Prize

B1: Feature: Visualizing a Dream Threatened By Loss of Eyesight

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Growing up in Jamaica, John Chin dreamed of representing his country and competing in top international tennis competitions. He saw his dream of representing Jamaica internationally come true at the Davis Cup. His dream also opened up a new opportunity. It led him to the United States to play college tennis. However, little did Chin know that life would throw an unexpected curveball his way when he was in danger of losing his eyesight during the first year with the Broncos.

Oh Maya, That’s Impressive. Today’s trivia question… Boise State women’s tennis player Maya Dutta was named MW Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season. The Dallas native earned her fifth career award, having won freshman honors four times and player of the week once.

πŸŽ‰ TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Zero!

Maya Dutta was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season. The Dallas native earned her fifth career award, having won freshman honors four times and player of the week once. She holds the record for the most conference weekly awards received by a single player in program history and is one freshman of the week honor shy of tying Fresno State's Matilde Magrini for the MW record for most by a player.

πŸ”· Have an amazing weekend, Bronco Nation!
