🔼 Chasing Greatness. The fifth-seeded Boise State women’s basketball team (23-8) opens the Mountain West Championship against No. 12 San Jose State tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. MT on the MW Network. It's the final MW Tournament run for the program's celebrated "Core Four" seniors of Dani Bayes, Mya Hansen, Natalie Pasco and Tatum Thompson. They are the only foursome in the nation to each score 1,000+ career points at the same institution. It's also the last MW Tournament for coach Gordy Presnell, who enters with 21 tournament wins, one shy of the all-time conference record, before the program moves to the revamped Pac-12 next season.

🔼 Left No Doubt. The Broncos' Valorant ES squad swept Ohio State 2-0 this week to lock up the top seed heading into the Power Esports Conference Championship. On Bind (Game 1), Peter "Skies" Mittelbrun racked up eight early kills to build a dominant 10-2 first-half lead. Game 2 on Haven was tighter at the half, but Austin "Prestige" Julian came in as a Haven specialist and helped close it out, with Boise State not dropping a single round in the second half. The match also served as the final regular-season game for graduating seniors Skies and Wyatt "Master" Morrison. Next: the PEC Championship in Las Vegas in April.

🔼 Day One. Redshirt senior Marissa Gonzalez had a monster day at the plate, going 4-for-7 with a double, triple, home run, and five RBI as Boise State (9-13) split its Blue Collar Classic doubleheader yesterday in Boise. The Broncos dropped the home opener 5-1 to Cal Baptist, then bounced back with an 8-1 rout of Portland State, as Gonzalez and Skylar Stroh (3-for-4, three RBI) led a balanced offensive attack. Freshman pitcher Loula-Rae McNamara turned in 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief and earned the save. The Broncos host Portland State again tonight at 6:30 p.m.

🔼 What’s Next. Boise State gymnastics heads to Haas Pavilion on Saturday for a 5 p.m. MT dual against No. 15 California (NQS 196.539), streaming on ACC Network Extra. Boise State arrives riding momentum from a season-high 196.275 team score at San Jose State on March 1, where the Broncos posted season-bests on vault (49.150) and floor (49.275). Freshman Miraya Nero has been a standout, winning two all-around titles this season, the first Bronco freshman to do that since 2017. Full preview here.
🔼 Weekend Recap. Boise State track & field had a great weekend at the Mountain West Indoor Championships in Reno! Check out the highlights.

🔼 Hold Serve. Boise State men’s tennis will host a six-team invitational today and tomorrow, opening this afternoon against Idaho State at 2 p.m. MT and Montana at 6 p.m. MT. The field also includes No. 56 BYU and No. 65 Gonzaga. Individually, Taiyo Kurata and Filip Soderqvist are closing in on 20 singles wins for the season, while the doubles duo of Stewart Aronson and Soderqvist is one win away from 15 on the year as a pair.
