🔼 On to the Next. Boise State women’s basketball won a thriller in the quarterfinals of the MW Championship last night, taking down fourth-seeded New Mexico, 62-61, and giving Gordy Presnell his 23rd MW tournament win. The Broncos will be back at it today at 6 p.m. MT against ninth-seeded Air Force in the semifinals. The game will air on Mountain West Network.

🔼 Out of the Park. Boise State softball (12-15) ended the Blue Collar Classic on a high note, launching four home runs in a five-inning rout of Weber State (5-21). Marissa Gonzalez continued her torrid weekend, going 3-for-3 with two homers, three RBI, and three runs scored, while Kate Penberthy matched her with a perfect 3-for-3 day that included a three-run blast. Mya Flindt cranked her team-leading seventh homer of the year, and Gonzalez and Flindt opened the scoring with back-to-back shots in the first. Charley Duran (4-3) was efficient in the circle, allowing just one unearned run over four innings to lower her team-best ERA to 2.60. Skylar Stroh drove in her team-leading 24th run of the season. Boise State opens Mountain West play at Nevada on March 13 at 6 p.m. MT.

🔼 Five in a Row. Boise State men’s hoops put an exclamation point on the regular season, defeating Colorado State 78-67, on Saturday to extend its winning streak to five games. Drew Fielder led all scorers with 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting, notching his 10th 20-point game of the year, while Dylan Andrews added 19 points, four rebounds, and three assists. The Broncos (20-11, 12-8 MW) shot 50 percent from the floor, dominated the boards 37-21, and led for over 38 of the game's 40 minutes. Boise State heads to the Mountain West Championship beginning March 11.

🔼 Lucky No. 7. Boise State women’s tennis (8-2) capped nonconference play in dominant fashion, blanking Utah Tech 7-0 in Saint George for their fourth consecutive sweep and seventh straight win. The Broncos open Mountain West play at Colorado State on March 13 at 1 p.m. MT.

🔼 Held Serve. No. 66 Boise State men’s tennis went 3-0 at their home invitational this weekend, cruising past Idaho State 4-0, blanking Montana 4-0, and then knocking off No. 56 BYU 4-2 to claim the title. Idriss Haddouch picked up three singles wins on the day to reach 10 on the season, while Stewart Aronson and Filip Soderqvist notched their 15th doubles victory as a pair. Up next: No. 67 Cal Poly and Montana State at home on March 13.

🔼 On Par. Riding high after capturing team and individual titles at the Lake Las Vegas Invitational, the Boise State men’s golf team travels to South Carolina for the 54-hole Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate today and tomorrow. Senior Cole Rueck leads the five-man lineup after firing a 200 (-16) to win at Lake Las Vegas by four strokes, earning Mountain West Golfer of the Week honors. Boise State holds a 59-31-2 record through six events this season, with two team titles, and has finished under par in five of six tournaments. The 15-team field includes Virginia Tech, East Carolina, Army, Navy, and host USC Aiken.
