Boise State women's tennis hits the road this morning to face Utah State at 11 a.m. MT with a Mountain West regular-season title within reach; a win would clinch at least a share of the program's first-ever regular-season championship. The Broncos enter in a three-way tie for first with San Diego State and UNLV, riding an eight-match road winning streak and 11 sweeps on the season.

🔼 Earning Her Moment. Boise State women's tennis sophomore Masa Viriant left her home in Slovenia at 15 to train at the Piatti Tennis Center in Italy, overcoming injuries and culture shock before finding her calling with the Broncos. The team captain has a knack for the big moment; as a freshman, she clinched Boise State's first-ever Mountain West tournament title with a comeback win over top-ranked San Diego State, then delivered again in the championship match and in the NCAA Tournament against No. 22 Baylor. Now 13-3 in singles this season, Viriant is a key piece of a Bronco squad chasing its first regular-season Mountain West title.

🔼 Seattle Send-Off. Boise State beach volleyball closes out the regular season this weekend at the Alki Invitational on Alki Beach in Seattle, facing Portland and Oregon on Friday before taking on No. 19 Washington and No. 15 Florida Atlantic on Saturday. The Broncos hold perfect all-time records against Friday's opponents, going 6-0 against Portland and 20-0 against Oregon. Ava Anderson and Addison Wolden earned Big 12 Pair of the Week honors this week, making Boise State one of just two programs in the conference to have two separate pairs claim the award in the same season. The Big 12 Championship follows next week on April 23.

🔼 Welcome to Boise. Boise State men's basketball has signed forward Jerquarius Stanback, who transfers from Alabama State after earning SWAC Defensive Player of the Year honors this past season. Stanback started all 32 games for the Hornets, averaging 8.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 2.0 blocks while shooting 52.2 percent from the field. He led the conference with 65 blocks and 34 steals on the season.
