🔼 Record Night. Boise State track and field rewrote the record books at the second-annual Ed Jacoby Twilight, setting four facility records and three program records Friday night at Dona Larsen Park. Raekwon Weatherspoon stole the show by claiming sole ownership of the Boise State long jump record at 7.98 meters, a mark that ranks seventh nationally, while also anchoring a men's 4x100 relay that blazed a program- and facility-record 39.94. The women's 4x100 squad matched with its own dual records at 44.93, and Victoria Lotz opened the meet by launching a facility-record hammer throw of 62.49 meters, the second-best in program history. The Broncos won 18 event titles on the night.
🔼 Vegas Bound. Boise State tight end Matt Lauter signed with the Las Vegas Raiders after the 2026 NFL Draft. Lauter, who earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention last season, finished the year with 37 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns.

🔼 Blue Wins. Boise State's Blue team edged the Orange 33-25 in Saturday's spring game at Albertsons Stadium. Maddux Madsen threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns, opening the scoring with a 62-yard flea flicker to Qumonte Williams Jr. on the game's third play and later connecting with Rasean Jones on an acrobatic 18-yard score. The Orange got creative too, with quarterback Max Cutforth finding offensive lineman Tyler Ethridge for an 11-yard touchdown before halftime. Ty Tanner sealed it late with a 40-yard interception return for a score, and the Blue defense held on a fourth-down stop to close it out. Boise State opens the 2026 season at Oregon on Sept. 5.

🔼 Series W. Boise State softball scored three in the top of the seventh to break a 2-2 tie and take the rubber game at San Diego State, 5-2. Jorja Crider singled home the go-ahead run, Quinn Southerland followed with an RBI single, and Talia Jenkins capped it with a bases-loaded walk. Jenkins also drove in the Broncos' first run with an RBI double in the second. Charley Duran picked up the win in relief, and Kodi Crabtree recorded the final three outs for her second save. It's Boise State's first series win at San Diego State since 2018 and the third time this season the Broncos have won in their last at-bat. Boise State hosts San José State next, starting April 30.

🔼 What a Run. Boise State men's tennis fell 4-3 to Utah State in the Mountain West championship match on Friday in Las Vegas, with the title decided on the final court. The Broncos rallied from an 0-1 deficit after dropping the doubles point, rattling off three straight singles wins from Stewart Aronson, Lukas Velik, and Taiyo Kurata to grab a 3-1 lead. But the Aggies clawed back with wins on courts four and three, setting up a winner-take-all battle at No. 1 singles. Avery Tallakson fought into a third-set tiebreak but fell 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4), ending the Broncos' season at 22-9. Kurata and Velik both went undefeated in singles play throughout the tournament at 3-0.

🔼 What’s Next. No. 2-seeded Boise State women's tennis’ run through the Mountain West Championship came to an end against No. 3 UNLV on Friday in Las Vegas. The Broncos' top doubles pair of Tereza Polakova and Zdena Safarova took their match 6-4, but the Rebels grabbed the doubles point by winning courts two and three. UNLV then took quick singles wins on courts six and one before Masa Viriant got Boise State on the board with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4, marking her 14th win at that spot this season. The Broncos now await a potential NCAA at-large bid. The selection show is this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. MT.
