Good Morning, Boise State 4/3: Home Sand Advantage

Plus: Next up for track & field.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation!

Former Boise State forward Dominic Parolin is headed to the pros! Parolin signed a professional contract with the Vancouver Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League. The Coquitlam, B.C. native returns to his home country after two seasons with the Broncos, including a strong bounce-back campaign last year following a knee injury that wiped out the 2024-25 season, averaging 5.5 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 51.3 percent from the field in 32 games. The Bandits open their 22-game regular season on May 14.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Bird Drill. Natalie Pasco ends her Boise State career with one final moment in the spotlight; she'll compete in the Celsius Women's 3-Point Championship at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis today, airing on ESPN on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. MT, becoming the first Bronco to do so since 2003. The senior sharpshooter finishes as the program's second all-time three-point leader with 275 makes at 40.4%, and holds the top score on the team's iconic Bird Drill: a pressure shooting workout where she set the record with 105 points and 35 made threes back in December, topping the previous mark of 99 held by program legend Riley Lupfer.

🔼 Home Sand Advantage. Fresh off the program's best weekend ever with back-to-back wins over ranked Arizona and South Carolina to open Big 12 play, No. 20 Boise State beach volleyball hosts the Boise State Classic this Friday and Saturday, welcoming Oregon, Santa Clara, UTEP, and CSUN to the beach complex. The Broncos (9-11, 2-1 Big 12) enter riding a 20-dual home winning streak, the sixth-longest active streak in the country, and will look to extend it against a field that includes a Duck squad on a five-dual win streak. Admission is free, parking is available at Lincoln Garage, and fans are welcome to settle in on the grass surrounding the sand. For additional information, please check out our Beach Gameday Guide.

🔼 On Your Mark. Coming off a strong indoor campaign that produced eight All-Mountain West honorees, the Boise State track and field team opens outdoor competition this weekend at three meets across California and Nevada. Distance runners head to the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco and the Stanford Invitational in Stanford, while sprinters, jumpers, and throwers compete at the UNLV Rebel Elite in Las Vegas, giving the Broncos a wide-ranging debut across multiple event groups.

🔼 Home Cooking. Boise State women's golf routed Idaho 13.5-1.5 in the State of Idaho Match at Warm Springs Golf Course. The Broncos swept all four alternate shot matchups, went 2-0-2 in four-ball, and closed with six singles victories, with Leia Chung, Brooke Patterson, Teal Matsueda, Annie Buffolino, Macee Greenwood, and Jaime Hards all picking up wins. It was Boise State's first Treasure Valley competition since September 2017.

🔼 Off the Blue. Willie Wright, former NFL offensive lineman turned Boise State Assistant Director of Student Athlete Development, stops by the Off the Blue podcast to talk about his journey from the gridiron to working with student athletes, what his role looks like day to day, and how he brings energy and positivity to the program.

🔼 On to the Next. Boise State softball couldn't overcome an early 2-0 deficit, falling 6-1 to New Mexico at home. Marissa Gonzalez was the offensive bright spot, going 3-for-4 with a double, and scored BSU's lone run in the seventh on a Mya Flindt RBI single. Game 2 is today at 6 p.m. MT.
