Good Morning, Boise State 4/8: Hanna's Bananas Round-Tripper

We're reliving the 3-run homer by Boise State softball player Mykenzie Hanna to extend the lead in game two (a dub!) to 6-2 against New Mexico.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! ICYMI! The Boise State softball team and New Mexico split a Mountain West softball doubleheader, Sunday. The Broncos (28-12, 7-6 MW) dropped the opener 2-1 and took game two 6-3.

And to say this 3-run homer by Mykenzie Hanna to extend the lead in game two to 6-2 was a highlight is an understatement! 👇🏼

With Sunday's victory, Boise State women’s tennis player Zdena Safarova now holds the highest single-season win percentage in program history at 90.3% (28-3). The sophomore's 28 wins are also tied for 10th-most in a single season.

Some other impressive Boise State women’s tennis stats:

  • The Broncos are now 12-0 at home, marking the third-best home record in program history in a single season.

  • Boise State has racked up 10 sweeps this season, the first time since doing so in 2010.

  • The Broncos have swept three conference opponents in consecutive matches for the first time since 2011, when the team defeated Hawaii 7-0, San Jose State 4-0 and New Mexico State 4-0.
