Good Morning, Bronco Nation!
Boise State closed out its final Mountain West season with a bang, smashing a season-high five homers in an 11-0 run-rule win over San José State. Senior Marissa Gonzalez went 3-for-3 with two homers, a double, and five RBI in her final game as a Bronco, capping a monster weekend.
Julianne Rose was dominant in the circle with a three-hit shutout and six strikeouts, while Kate Penberthy homered to extend her hitting streak to 13 games, during which she hit .605 with seven homers. The Broncos finish 25-30 and head to the Pac-12 for the 2027 season.

🏀 Welcome to Boise
🏆 Heading to the Hall of Fame
🔹 And so much more!
📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Welcome to Boise. Boise State men's basketball signed 6-9 forward Dovydas Butka, who started all 66 games across two collegiate seasons at Pepperdine and Campbell. The Lithuanian native averaged 13.9 points and 8.5 rebounds last season at Campbell while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, racking up five 20-point performances. Butka brings international experience from playing for BC Zalgiris in Lithuania's top two professional leagues and in EuroLeague competition before coming stateside.

🔼 On Track. Boise State's two entries at the Payton Jordan Invitational both finished as the top collegiate runners in their events, with Emily Jobes leading all college athletes in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and Kaiya Robertson doing the same in the 1,500 meters. Back in Tucson at the Desert Heat Classic, the men's 4x400 relay of John Dailey, DJ Warren, Josh Green, and Trevor Cogley ran the third-fastest time in program history at 3:09.47, while Victoria Lotz won the hammer throw for the second straight meet in a field of 20. The Broncos close out the regular season at the Portland Twilight on May 9.

🔼 To the Pros. Eight former Boise State players earned NFL opportunities after the 2026 draft, with tight end Matt Lauter (Raiders) and safety Zion Washington (Browns) signing as undrafted free agents. Six others received rookie minicamp invites: cornerbacks Jeremiah Earby (Eagles, Commanders) and A'Marion McCoy (Eagles), defensive linemen Braxton Fely (Broncos, 49ers) and Herbert Gums (Seahawks), offensive lineman Mason Randolph (Chiefs, Saints), and edge rusher Malakai Williams (Raiders, Saints). Lauter ranks third all-time among Boise State tight ends in yards and touchdowns, while McCoy was one of the nation's top ballhawks with six career interceptions returned for scores across his final two seasons.

🔼 Heading to the Hall of Fame. Boise State co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Zak Hill was inducted into the Central Washington University Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday. Hill ranks third in program history in passing yards (8,882), passing touchdowns (76), and total offense (8,485 yards) from his playing days as a Wildcat from 1999-2003. His 2002 season was one for the ages as he led CWU to an 11-1 record and the school's first NCAA Division II playoff appearance while setting the single-season completion percentage record at 67.9 percent.
