🔼 Power at the Plate. Mykenzie Hanna and Quinn Southerland were honored by the Mountain West, Monday. Hanna was named player of the week and Southerland garnered freshman of the week accolades after the duo led Boise State to a three-game sweep over Utah State.

A senior, Hanna batted .625 with a hit, walk and run in each game. In her final home game as a Bronco, she was 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in a run-rule victory. Southerland posted a .500 batting average, including a pair of multi-hit efforts. She hit her second-career home run, drove in three and scored three.

🔼 Winter & Warren For the Win. A huge congrats to this week’s Athletes of the Week. Keep doin’ what you’re doin’!

🔼 The Final Tally. Though the Broncos’ impressive run in women’s tennis ended in the second round of the NCAA tournament, there is still much to celebrate:

  • Boise State recorded 20 wins in a season for the seventh time in program history and the first since 2010.

  • The Broncos' 76.9% win rate ranks as the seventh-highest in program history.

  • Boise State finished the season winning 10 of its final 11 matches.

🔼 The Balancing Act. For student-athletes, balancing academics and athletics can be a demanding challenge. Between early morning practices, busy training schedules and frequent travel for games, keeping up with coursework isn’t always easy.

Two student-athletes, Morgan Padour, a former women’s soccer player, and Lopez Sanusi, a football player, share how their experiences in the School for the Digital Future’s programs have helped them stay on track for graduation while preparing for life beyond their sport.

🔼 Believe the Hoopla. Is Julian Bowie on your radar? If not, it’s time.

The hoops star led Pocatello HS to a 4A state title as a senior in 2024. He was named the Idaho 4A Player of the Year after averaging 20.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. Bowie set a state record with 89 points at the 2023 state tournament leading Pocatello to a runner-up finish.
