Boise State's Allyson Alden was named the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Year.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Boise State's Allyson Alden was named the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Year. The honor marks the second consecutive season a Bronco has earned the accolade after Sierra Land took home the award a season ago.

Six Broncos were also named to the SLC All-Academic Team, the most honorees that have been named from a single team in the history of the conference. Alden joined Avery Allen, Emilia Guerra-Acuña, Sharli O'Neil, Abbie Wolf and Elli Wolthuis on the 12-person team.  Guerra-Acuña, O'Neil, Wolf and Wolthuis all received the recognition for the second time in their respective careers.

🔼 Women’s Tennis Accolades Roll Deep. Boise State women's tennis head coach Beck Roghaar was named the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Mountain Region Head Coach of the Year, the ITA announced. This marks Roghaar's second major coaching accolade of the season, having been named the 2024-25 Mountain West Coach of the Year in May.

Additionally, assistant coach Errol Smith earned Assistant Coach of the Year honors. Bhakti Shah received the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award, and the team was recognized with the ITA Community Service Award for a second consecutive season.

🔼 Courting Success. Boise State men's tennis had two members, Lukas Velik and Daniel Hangstefer, honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) with postseason regional awards.

Velik has been named the ITA Mountain Region Rookie of the Year after his debut season in the Blue and Orange. Velik is the seventh Bronco all-time to earn the ITA Rookie of the Year recognition and the first since Kyle Butters in 2016. Hangstefer, the associate head coach, has been named the ITA Mountain Region Assistant Coach of the Year. He helped guide Boise State to a 21-6 record this season and a perfect 6-0 Mountain West mark on the way to a second straight regular season championship and berth in the NCAA tournament.

🔼 The One-Two Punch of Boise State MBB. Man, we’re gonna miss this duo, as they worked together like a well-oiled machine.

🔼 Heavy Hitters. The Boise State softball program added Mariah Lopez and Tegan Cortelletti as assistant coaches, as announced by head coach Justin Shults.

Lopez comes to Boise State from Cal Baptist, and will serve as the Bronco pitching coach. As a collegiate pitcher, Lopez was 51-2 in three years at Oklahoma (2017-19) and 20-5 in two seasons at Arizona (2020-21). She was the winning pitcher for the Sooners in the 2017 Women's College World Series.

Cortelletti played five seasons as an outfielder at Ohio State (2019-23). As a fifth-year student-athlete, she led the Buckeyes with a .394 batting average. She began her coaching career at Bowling Green and spent the 2025 season with the Falcons.

🔼 Go For Gomez. Boise State women's golf head coach Kailin Downs announced the addition of Chayse Gomez as the team's assistant coach. Gomez joins the Broncos after helping Cal State Fullerton to the NCAA Championships and a Big West title in 2024-25. She played five seasons at Oregon State, concluding her career with a 73.62 scoring average, second-best in school history.
