Good Morning, Boise State 6/3: Legends in the Making

Former Boise State QB Kellen Moore (2008-11) and former coach Chris Petersen (2006-13) are on the 2026 Hall of Fame ballot.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Former Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore (2008-11) is among the Football Bowl Subdivision student-athletes on the 2026 Hall of Fame ballot, while former Boise State coach Chris Petersen (2006-13) is among the nine former FBS coaches.

Petersen boasts a 147-39 career record in 14 seasons as a head coach. Coaching for the Broncos from 2006-13, he is the winningest coach in Boise State history, donning a 92-12 (88.5%) mark at the helm of the program. He twice led the Blue and Orange to undefeated seasons (2006 & 2009) and won five conference titles during his tenure.

The announcement of the 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2026, with specific details to be announced in the future.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: A) 36,363!

Albertsons Stadium—the home of Boise State football—has seen many changes. Growing from an original seating capacity of 14,500 and a green AstroTurf field, to a current capacity of 36,363 and the now famous Blue field.

Boise State established a first in 1986 by installing blue AstroTurf as its playing surface. The second blue AstroTurf was installed in 1995 and a third prior to the 2002 season. A blue FieldTurf surface was installed in 2008. Other schools had special color projects in the end zone area prior to the Broncos, but Boise State was the first to have the entire field produced in a special color.
