Good Morning, Boise State 7/21: Smile Because It Happened

We take a look back at the incredible career of former Boise State BVB coach Allison Voigt.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! As the saying goes: “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” And while we might be sad that the amazingly talented (now former!) Boise State BVB coach Allison Voigt has decided to step away to spend more time with family, we can bask in all that she accomplished during her storied Bronco career:

🔼 The Best “Yett.” Boise State Head Volleyball Coach Shawn Garus announced today the addition of Megan Yett to the volleyball coaching staff. Yett will serve as an assistant coach for the program; her responsibilities will include coaching during matches and practice, as well as recruiting.

Yett comes to Boise State from the local youth volleyball ranks, where she has been coaching for the Idaho Crush Volleyball Club, assisting with the 15U, 16U, and 17U teams. While with Idaho Crush, her teams have placed as high as fifth in the nation and are consistently ranked in the top 20.

🔼 Play Another “Melodie.” Former Boise State WBB player Elodie Lalotte signed a professional contract with Domusa Teknik of the Spain Liega Femenina Challenge.

Lalotte played in 149 games for the Broncos, making 88 career starts. She averaged 7.6 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 48.3% from the field. She was named Mountain West Honorable-Mention as a sophomore and took home a conference player of the week award on Nov. 28, 2022.

"I'm excited for Elodie's new adventure as a pro," Boise State head coach Gordy Presnell said. "I can't wait to follow her professional journey. I know she will represent our program well!"

Elodie Lalotte is splattered all over the Boise State record book. The forward pulled down 788 rebounds, the sixth-most in program history, and she finished her career ninth place in career field goals (495).  She joined the 1,000-point club on Dec. 8, 2024, against San Diego and finished her career in 19th place in the program record books with 1,122 career points.
