🔼 Celebration of Life. A celebration of life for Ron Dibelius, who passed away on July 12 at the age of 88, will be held Saturday, July 25, at 10 a.m. in the Allen Noble Hall of Fame at Albertsons Stadium. Dibelius dedicated 27 years to Boise State, serving as head tennis coach and later as assistant athletic director for fundraising, where he helped raise funds for the Stueckle Sky Center, the Athletic Hall of Fame, and multiple athletic facilities. He was also a founding father of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Before his career in athletics administration, Dibelius was drafted by the New York Knicks, and played professional baseball for the Washington Senators. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes or the Dibelius Family Endowed Scholarship for Tennis at Boise State.

🔼 Eight Straight. Boise State volleyball earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the eighth consecutive year with a 3.41 team GPA. Kendall Hastings (3.77) and Hallee Heath (3.70) led the squad in the classroom, while setters Elle Cotton and Lilli Etter earned CSC Academic All-District honors.

🔼 Sandy Scholars. Boise State beach volleyball earned the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, given to programs in the top 20 percent of GPAs nationally, along with the AVCA Team Academic Award for the eighth straight year. The Broncos posted a 3.71 team GPA, and four players earned CSC Academic All-District honors while nine made the Big 12 Spring Academic Team.

🔼 On the Podium. Congratulations to Boise State women’s tennis’ Carla Grignac on finishing as a finalist this week at Belgium’s TC Davis!

🔼 Hold Serve. Meanwhile, Boise State women’s tennis’ Allison Isaacs earned a spot in the main draw at the W35 level in Saskatoon this week in both doubles and singles!
