🔼 B1 Feature: Giving Back to the Game. From the NFL to a new calling! Willie Wright, Boise State's assistant director of student-athlete development, is making a lasting impact after a career-ending injury cut short his professional playing days. The former Tulsa tackle spent time with five NFL franchises before breaking his fibula on his 12th snap as an XFL starter: a moment that pivoted him toward earning dual master's degrees and finding his purpose helping student-athletes. Now heavily involved with BroncoLife, Wright mentors players like defensive back Demetrius Freeney Jr., keeps players engaged during away weekends, and serves as what Coach Danielson calls the "energy guy!"

🔼 Streak Marches On. Boise State soccer's season-opening run continues! The Broncos went on the road and recorded a 0-0 draw at SMU, extending their unbeaten streak to 17 matches, the longest active streak in the nation and a program record. Ava de Leest made three saves for her eighth career shutout, while Jillian Anderson led all players with two shots on goal as Boise State outshot the Mustangs 12-8. The Broncos also stretched their road unbeaten run to 11 matches, their longest since 2019!

🔼 Watch List Wave. Boise State's preseason recognition keeps rolling in! Wide receiver Ben Ford landed on the Comeback Player of the Year Watch List after a season-ending injury cut short a 2025 campaign in which he caught a team-high five touchdowns.

Defensive lineman David Latu and offensive lineman Stewart Taufa earned spots on the Polynesian Player of the Year Watch List, honoring the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry. Latu started six games in his first Bronco season, while Taufa saw action in three games as a true freshman.

Meanwhile, EDGE Jayden Virgin-Morgan was included on the Senior Bowl Top 300, featuring the nation's best draft-eligible prospects. The fifth-year has led the Broncos in sacks each of the last two seasons, and his 33 career starts are the most among active Boise State players!

🔼 Volleyball Tix Live. Boise State volleyball tickets are on sale! For the first time since 2002, the Broncos will play eight matches in ExtraMile Arena, including the Boise State Classic (Sept. 3-5), the Boise State Invitational (Sept. 10-12), a showdown with BYU on Sept. 8, and the Pac-12 opener against Gonzaga on Sept. 24. Single-match tickets start at $10 for adults and $5 for juniors, with season tickets at $50 and Family Four Packs for $120. Grab your seats at BroncoSports.com/tickets!

🔼 ICYMI: Building the Broncos. Curious how this year’s Boise State women’s and men’s basketball roster took shape? Follow along in these exclusive videos.

🔼 Power Up. Boise State Esports just landed major backing! The program announced new support from Lenovo and Intel, bringing technology, resources, and expanded opportunities to one of collegiate esports' premier programs. The Broncos boast multiple national championships, 15 Mountain West championships, and multiple national Program of the Year honors.
