🔼 Home Streak Rolls. Boise State soccer took down Idaho State 3-1 on Sunday afternoon, stretching its home unbeaten streak to 10 matches, tied for the second-longest in program history. Sophie Schmautz got things going in the 19th minute and struck again in the 53rd for the first brace of her career, sandwiching a Campbell Wilson strike into the top-right corner in the 50th. The Broncos outshot the Bengals 15-6 and held them without a shot on goal in the entire first half. Boise State returns to Boas Soccer Complex on Thursday, Sept. 3, to host UC San Diego at 7 p.m. MT.

🔼 Passing the Mic. Pete Cavender is retiring from the Bronco Radio Network booth after 17 seasons as gameday color analyst, with his 221st and final broadcast coming Sept. 12 in the home opener against Memphis. A former Boise State offensive lineman and member of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl Championship team, Cavender will be honored with his teammates during the 20th anniversary celebration on Oct. 3 against Utah State. Taking over the headset is Michael Callahan, a former Bronco defensive tackle who appeared in 48 games from 2020-24. Callahan's first game in the booth is Sept. 19 against South Dakota.
🔼 A Champion. Congratulations to Boise State men’s tennis’ Filip Soderqvist, who won the UTR Pro Tennis Tour over the weekend!

🔼 First Win Secured. Boise State volleyball opened the season at the Bulldog Invitational in Asheville, picking up a 3-0 sweep of UNC Asheville alongside a pair of losses to Middle Tennessee. The win over the Bulldogs was the first in program history, with the Broncos outhitting UNC Asheville .226 to .091 behind 12 kills from Sydney Dreves. Kendall Hastings owned the net all weekend, posting at least five blocks in all three matches, while newcomer Melia Barlow racked up 28 digs in the opener. Nine Broncos made their debuts over the two days.
Boise State returns home for the Boise State Invitational at ExtraMile Arena Sept. 3-5 against North Dakota State, UNLV, and Idaho State.

🔼 Fall Ball. Boise State softball has released its 2026 fall schedule, and the Broncos open at home against Northwest Nazarene on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m. MT. Dona Larsen Park hosts four more dates, including an Oct. 4 doubleheader against Walla Walla Community College and College of Southern Idaho. The fall wraps up with a road trip to Seattle for games against Washington, Mt. Hood Community College, and Seattle on Oct. 17 and 18. It's the first fall for head coach Andrew Rich, who took over as the program's fifth head coach in June.

🔼 Madsen Goes National. Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen has been named a 2026-27 JLab Playmaker, joining standout student-athletes from Arkansas, Houston, Indiana, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt, and Washington in the fifth edition of the NIL campaign. Madsen will appear in JLab's social media, digital content, and marketing campaigns throughout the season. The partnership also brings the JLab Jukebox to Albertsons Stadium, letting fans vote on a song of the game during Broncos football. JLab has been elevated to Proud Partner of Boise State status as part of the deal.
