🔼 B1 Feature: Born to Be a Bronco. Campbell Wilson's story runs deep in the Treasure Valley. The Meridian native scored Boise State's first goal as a Pac-12 member in the department's inaugural conference event on Aug. 12, then added another in the second half of a 3-0 win over CSUN. Her father, Mike, made a similar splash decades earlier, taking an end-around 37 yards for a touchdown on his first collegiate touch in 1990 before building one of the best receiving careers in Boise State program history. Campbell overcame a torn ACL that cost her a full high school season, then went on to win Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year twice and enroll at Boise State a semester early.

🔼 West Coast Swing. Boise State soccer heads out for a pair of road matches, opening at Cal State Bakersfield tonight at 8 p.m. MT before visiting Portland State on Sunday at 2 p.m. MT. The Broncos climbed to fifth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region poll and have allowed just four goals through six matches, tied for the fewest in the Pac-12. Freshman Campbell Wilson picked up her third Pac-12 Newcomer of the Week honor this week and ranks second among all freshmen nationally with 13 points. Both matches stream live on ESPN+.

🔼 40 Years of Blue. Every fan through the gates at Saturday's home opener against Memphis will take home a commemorative blue rally towel marking The Blue's 40th anniversary. The Broncos will take the field in hand-painted anniversary helmets created by artist Armando Villarreal, featuring individually painted blades of turf, an oversized "40" in the original 1986 numeral font, and seven hashmarks.
Anniversary gear is available at The Blue and Orange Store, Bronco Shop, Fanatics, and Scheels in Meridian, with limited-edition turf collectibles at CollectBSU.com. On the way out, staff and student-athletes will hand out chalk kits for BroncoBOLD's Chalk the Walk for Mental Health on Monday, Sept. 14.

🔼 National Nod. Boise State linebacker Boen Phelps was named the Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week after an eight-tackle performance against No. 2 Oregon. The senior played all 64 defensive snaps in his eighth consecutive start, notching four solo stops including one on fourth down that forced a turnover on downs. Phelps earned a 75.3 Pro Football Focus defensive grade, the highest among Bronco defenders with at least 15 snaps, and his 82.4 tackling grade also led the team.
