🔼 Fourth-Quarter Surge. Boise State and South Dakota traded punches all night before the Broncos pulled away late for a 38-24 win at Albertsons Stadium. Maddux Madsen threw touchdown passes to Rasean Jones and Cam Bates in the first half, and Sire Gaines punched in a 3-yard score, but the Coyotes answered every time and tied it at 24 with 10:33 left. From there it was all Boise State: Dylan Riley scored twice in the fourth, the defense turned South Dakota over on downs inside the red zone, and Travis Anderson sealed it with his second interception of the night. Riley finished with 198 rushing yards, Gaines added 102, and the defense held the Coyotes to 36 yards on the ground.

🔼 Revenge Sweep. Boise State volleyball closed out nonconference play with a 3-0 sweep at Idaho State, avenging a five-set loss to the Bengals earlier this month. The opener was a grinder as Kendall Hastings tied it at 23-23 with a kill before the Broncos took it 28-26, and Boise State controlled the next two from there. Sydney Dreves and Azlynn Tittmann each posted 13 kills, Hastings added a team-high five blocks, and Melia Barlow anchored the back row with 18 digs. It's the Broncos' eighth sweep of the season. Pac-12 play opens Thursday at home against Gonzaga.

🔼 A Strong Run. Allison Isaacs made a strong run at the ITA All-American Championships, winning back-to-back matches before bowing out in the round of 64. The fifth-year Bronco opened with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Kansas State's Maralgoo Chogsomjav, then took down Duke's Shavit Kimchi by the same score. North Carolina's Theadora Rabman ended her weekend, and Isaacs rejoins the Broncos this week at the San Diego Invite, Sept. 24-27.

🔼 Strong Showing. Boise State women's tennis went 13-2 in singles and took three of the six individual titles at the ninth-annual Barb Chandler Classic. Stella Beldiman, Ella Piron, and Tereza Polakova each went undefeated in their draws, with Beldiman and Polakova repeating as singles champions. Beldiman and Piron also teamed up for the group three doubles title, their second straight year winning together. Valentina Vachkova picked up her first two singles wins and first doubles victory as a Bronco. Boise State heads to the San Diego Invite Sept. 24-27.

🔼 Strong Season Opener. Boise State cross country came out of the gate hot at the Roy Griak Invitational, with both squads taking second place in Minneapolis. Brian Kiprotich won the men's 8k outright in 23:40.2, leading three Broncos into the top 10 and six into the top 20. Amit Koma opened her senior season with a runner-up finish in the women's 6k at 19:53.5, with sophomore Lily LaPorte fourth. The women knocked off nationally ranked No. 3 Iowa State, while the men beat a Minnesota squad receiving votes in the national poll.

🔼 Spokane Bound. Boise State women's golf heads to Spokane for its second tournament of the fall, teeing off today at the Kalispel Invitational. The 14-team field includes Gonzaga, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, and host Eastern Washington, with two rounds today and the final round tomorrow. Leia Chung leads the lineup after a 2025-26 season that brought a Mountain West title, an NCAA Regional appearance, and three tournament wins. Freshman Alice Koontz makes her Bronco debut as an individual.

🔼 Staying In State. Boise State men's golf doesn't have far to travel for its second tournament of the fall, heading to Coeur d'Alene for the CDA National Reserve Invitational. The 16-team field plays 54 holes over two days, with 36 today and the final round on Tuesday. Trevor Garus leads the lineup after tying for seventh in his Bronco debut at the Island Resort Classic, where he shot par or better on 48 of 54 holes. Freshman Justin Anderson joins the main field after his collegiate debut, while freshman Harry Thomas competes as an individual.
