Boise State MBB defeated New Mexico, 86-78, on Wednesday night, collecting the squad's 12th home win.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Led by Tyson Degenhart and Pearson Carmichael who scored a combined 53 points, Boise State defeated New Mexico, 86-78, on Wednesday night at ExtraMile Arena. Last night’s game means that Boise State (18-8, 10-5 MW) has won at least 12 home games in each of the last six seasons.
 
Degenhart shot 9-of-16 from the field, scored a career-high 32 points and 13 free throws and added seven rebounds and two assists. Carmichael poured in a career-best 21 points. Alvaro Cardenas stuffed the stat sheet, posting 11 points, three rebounds, 10 assists and five steals.

πŸ”Ό Ballin’ in the Beehive State. Coming off a second-straight winning week, Boise State heads to the Lyman Classic in St. George, Utah, hosted by Utah Tech, today through Sunday (Feb. 20-23). Broncos have posted four, mercy-rule wins this season. Last week, Boise State knocked off (RV)BYU, 8-6 at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.

Shortstop Chloe Hughes was 8-for-10 at the Puerto Vallarta College. She drove in a school freshman record seven runs in an 18-1 win over FIU, Feb. 15, and was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week.

Carson Baker fought through three tiebreakers at No. 2 singles to clinch the Broncos seventh-consecutive victory as they improved to 7-1 overall while handing Indiana (9-1) its first loss.

Jett Middleton won his 11th singles match of the year and is now 4-2 at No. 1 singles this spring. Taiyo Kurata and Julius Seifert are now 2-1 at No. 2 doubles. James Van Herzeele won his 67th career singles match, going undefeated this spring at 5-0. Lukas Velik recorded his 13th singles win of the year.

πŸ”Ό On the Dotted Line πŸ“. Luke Shields, Boise State Men's Tennis Head Coach, announced today the addition of Eyad Ezzat from Cairo, Egypt for the 2025-26 campaign.
 
Ezzat will be a freshman for the Broncos next fall. He has an International Tennis Federation (ITF) of 120 and a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) of 12.00. He will be the second student-athlete from Egypt to play for the Boise State men's tennis team, joining Mahmoud Rezk (2000-04).
