Good Morning, Bronco Nation 1/27: Gymnastics Sticks the Landing
Boise State Gymnastics collected four event titles as they cruised to a first-place victory over San Jose State, Sacramento State and UC Davis.
Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Boise State gymnastics collected four event titles as they cruised to a first-place victory (195.575) over San Jose State (194.500), Sacramento State (193.00) and UC Davis (192.600). The Broncos notched a vault season-high score with a 48.850, and the squad matched its season-high score of 49.125 on bars.
Fifth year Emily Lopez garnered a gold-medal finish on bars, while Alyssa Vulaj took a share of the vault title. Bridget Kemp and Blake Pascal were also named co-champions on floor. This was Lopez’s third bars title of the season and 16th of her career with a 9.900.

🔼 Advantage, Broncos. Boise State men's tennis cruised to a 4-0 victory over VCU on Sunday on the final day of the ITA Kickoff Weekend tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was a solid bounce back following the 4-2 loss to No. 5 Virginia on Saturday to even the Broncos' record at 1-1.
Taiyo Kurata had the match-clinching point in singles on court 6. John Chin recorded the first singles win for Boise State on court 5.

🔼 Winning, From A to ‘Zag. The Boise State women's tennis team (4-0) capped off its dominant weekend with a 7-0 victory over Gonzaga (2-1) Sunday afternoon at Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
All nine Broncos remain undefeated in both singles and doubles this season. Boise State has only gone to a third set or a 10-point tiebreaker in two matches so far on the season.
Ryan Kershner and Lorelyz Marruffo improved to 4-0 in doubles, Bhakti Shah and Paula Scahefer moved to 3-0 while Maya Dutta and Zdena Safarova sit at 2-0.

🔼 On Track. Boise State Track & Field has released its 2025 outdoor schedule, head coach Pat McCurry announced, Friday. The slate features 14 meets, three of which will be held in Idaho. It is highlighted by the Ed Jacoby Twilight, Boise State's first home meet since 2019.
The Broncos will open its season locally at the Nighthawks Opener (March 15) in Nampa, Idaho, before traveling to Sacramento, Calif., for the Hornet Invite (March 21).
