🔼 Going In On Top. For the first time in program history, Boise State men's basketball was picked as the favorite in the Mountain West Predicted Order of Finish. The conference's preseason accolades also included senior forward Tyson Degenhart being selected as the 2024-25 Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year. Degenhart along with senior forward O'Mar Stanley and newcomer guard Alvaro Cardenas were also named to the Preseason All-Mountain West Team.
🔼 Another Won. Jayla Land led Boise State women's soccer to a 1-0 win over Air Force, Thursday night. Land lifted the Broncos to victory in the sixth minute as she headed the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal. Boise State's victory over Air Force keeps the Broncos first in the conference standings, tied with Colorado State. It also marked the eighth-consecutive home win for the Broncos, tying for second-most in program history.
🔼 Earned The Win. Bronco senior Paige Bartsch recorded a team-high 17.5 points to lead Boise State to a Mountain West victory over Nevada 3-1 in Bronco Gym on Thursday night. For the Blue and Orange, it was the fourth victory in the last five contests as the Broncos improved to 12-6 overall and 4-3 in conference.
🗣️ "I'm really pleased with the result tonight. Nevada is a team that has been playing everybody tough day in and day out in Mountain West Conference play, so to come out and jump on them and go up two in the match score was fantastic." - Shawn Garus, head coach
🔼 Fall Finish. This weekend, Boise State cross country will conclude the regular season with two races, one at the Arturo Barrios Invitational and another at the LC State Invitational. This marks the first season under head coach Pat McCurry. McCurry was previously an assistant with the Broncos from 2016-18, and also served as the head coach at College of Idaho and San Francisco. Boise State’s men finished sixth in their last race and were led by Tom-Graham Marr who finished 23rd. Boise State’s women defeated No. 25 Michigan State by 96 points in their previous race and are receiving votes in the USTFCCCA National Coaches’ Poll.
🔼 Extension Reached. In an innovative partnership to meet the ever-changing college athletics landscape, Boise State Athletics and Learfield announced a partnership extension through 2038-39 as Learfield will remain the university's exclusive multimedia rights partner through Bronco Sports Properties. With the extended partnership, Boise State will gain additional resources to maximize revenue, drive student-athlete NIL opportunities, and enrich the Bronco fan experience.
