🔼 There’s No Place Like Home. Boise State women's soccer shut out Colorado College 2-0 Sunday afternoon for the ninth-straight home victory. Olivia Collins put the Broncos on the scoreboard in the 65th minute, sneaking one in the bottom right corner of the goal. Two minutes later, Morgan Padour put it in the same spot as Collins.
🗣 “Winning on Sunday is difficult, and we found a way to do that so many times this season. I am really proud of the team and grateful to be coaching this group.” - Jim Thomas, head coach
🔼 The Jeanty Juggernaut. Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty has produced historic numbers in six games, and the national media is taking notice. The HEI2MAN candidate earned recognition from the AP, The Athletic, Athlon Sports, CBS Sports, Pro Football Focus and Sporting News.
🔼 Podium Perfection. The Boise State women's cross country team claimed the championship at the LC State Invitational, led by Naomy Lokiles, who secured the individual title. The Broncos dominated the podium, placing runners in first, second and third, defeating runner-up Idaho by 28 points.
🗣 "They did a great job working together as a team and moving up throughout the race, ultimately showing their ability to go one through three." - Emma Wren, head coach
🔼 Race Results, Part Two. The Boise State cross country team claimed runner-up finishes in the men's and women's races at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday morning. Joe Hudson (22:45.2, 8th) finished as the top Bronco for the first time this season and notched his second top-10 finish in a field of 370 runners. Junior Kaiya Robertson led the Broncos with a sixth-place finish in the women's 6k, finishing in 19:19.5. She has now placed in the top six in every race this season.
🔼 Who’s Down For This News? Despite having an off week, Associated Press voters moved Boise State down to No. 17 in this week's top 25 poll, while the US LBM Coaches Poll kept the Broncos at No. 19. Boise State has the nation's third-best scoring offense (46.8 ppg) and fourth-ranked total offense (523.0 ppg) to compile a 5-1 (2-0 MW) record this season.
🔼 Onward and Upward. Boise State volleyball came up on the short end of a 3-2 score Saturday afternoon as the Broncos fell 25-14, 17-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-11 to the Utah State Aggies in a Mountain West match. With the loss, the Broncos moved to 12-7 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
