The No. 21 Boise State Broncos utilized a dominant first half performance to race past Utah State, 62-30, to earn its third-straight victory and first conference win of the season. In front of the fifth-largest crowd in Albertsons Stadium history, Boise State generated nearly 600 yards of total offense in the contest, throwing for 303 yards in the air and 296 yards on the ground in the victory. Running back Ashton Jeanty put together another Heisman-worthy performance, scampering for three rushing touchdowns and finishing with 186 rushing yards on 13 attempts. 🔼 Double The Fun. Boise State women's tennis claimed two championships at the inaugural Mountain West Fall Qualifiers on Saturday. Maya Dutta and Zdena Safarova claimed the top spot in the doubles bracket while Safarova was crowned the singles champion. With the victories, Dutta and Safarova have earned qualification into the ITA Conference Masters. The tandem never dropped more than five games in a single set, ultimately winning the championship with a 7-5, 6-4 victory. In the singles championship, Safarova battled back from a 6-2 loss in set one to win in three sets to claim another title.
🗣️ "Coming home as champions of the Mountain West in both singles and doubles is a big accomplishment without a doubt. These players showed great grit, heart, and poise to get the job done.” - Beck Roghaar, head coach
🔼 Another Dub. Boise State women's soccer defeated San Diego State 2-0, on Sunday afternoon, for its seventh-straight home win. Carly Cross put the Bronco on the board first, scoring in the 11th minute. Then, in the 72nd minute, Morgan Padour scored off a deflection, making the final score 2-0. Boise State is now the only team in the Mountain West to win every home match this season.
🔼 A Sweep Homecoming. Boise State volleyball used a balanced offense to sweep the New Mexico Lobos for Homecoming and alumnae weekend in Bronco Gym. The win improved the Blue and Orange to 10-5 and 2-2 in MW play. Boise State had three players, Annie Kaminski, Anabel Kotzakov and Reagan Casey, record nine kills each to lead the offensive effort for the Blue and Orange.
🔼 Finished Strong. Boise State women's cross country took home a fifth-place finish at the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational, finishing four spots ahead of No. 25 Michigan State. The men's team placed sixth behind four nationally ranked teams. Junior Kaiya Robertson led the way for the Broncos finishing the race in sixth while Emily Jobes and Ines Borba followed with solid performances for Boise State, placing 38th and 50th, respectively.
🔼 Coming Soon. Boise State men’s golf will play in the Oregon State Invitational, October 7-8. The 54-hole tournament will be a play five, count four format in Corvallis, Oregon. The last time out, Boise State men's golf shot 18-under par to finish seventh at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, the Broncos' lowest score since fall 2021.
