🔼 Certified Fresh. After helping Boise State volleyball improve to 10-5 on the season with a pair of wins over the weekend, Kiki Remensperger was named the Mountain West Volleyball Freshman of the Week. The freshman setter/outside hitter combined for 9 kills, a team-high 41 assists, one service ace, 17 digs, nine blocks and 14.5 points while hitting .292 percent. Boise State will continue MW play this week on the road at Colorado State on Thursday followed by a matchup at Wyoming on Saturday.
🔼 Number Two Earns Another One. In what has become a weekly tradition, Ashton Jeanty was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. The junior running back ran for 186 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries, leading Boise State to a 62-30 win over Utah State in the conference opener. This is Jeanty's fourth MW recognition in five games. The Bronco tailback has an FBS-high 1,031 rushing yards this season, becoming the eighth player since 1996 to eclipse 1,000 yards in five games.
🔼 First Timer. Following a pair of Boise State soccer wins, midfielder Jillian Anderson was named the Mountain West Women's Soccer Freshman of the Week. This is the third MW weekly award for the women's soccer team this season and the first of Anderson's career. Anderson posted two goals against the Lobos with goals in the 71st and 88th minute with her second goal getting credit as the game-winner. Anderson and the rest of the Broncos will return to action when they travel to face Colorado State on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m.
