🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State men’s basketball forward Tyson Degenhart was named to the 2023-24 Preseason All-MW Team following last season’s All-MW First Team selection.

Last season, the 6-foot-8 forward started all 34 games for the Blue and Orange and led the team with 14.1 points per game on 53.7% shooting from the field. After helping lead the team to an NCAA Tournament berth, the sharp shooter became the first Bronco to start a tournament game as both a freshman and sophomore.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Sixth Sweep. Bronco volleyball earned its sixth sweep and sixth MW win of the season after a dominating match against San Jose State. Bartsch finished with a team-high 14 kills followed by Anabel Kotzakov’s nine kills and 11 total points. Breanna Mitchell helped the Blue and Orange offense from the backline with a career-tying five service aces. The win earned Boise State its eighth victory in the past ten matches.

Next up, the team will hit the road to play San Diego State on Oct. 21.

🔼 Rocky Mountain High. Boise State football will take on Colorado State under the Saturday night lights in Fort Collins, Colo., to try and capture its third-straight conference win of the season.

All-time, the Broncos are 12-0 against Colorado State, with the most recent matchup ending in a 49-10 victory for the Blue and Orange. Quarterback tandem Taylen Green and Maddux Madsen will lead the team with a combination of speed and accuracy while offensive weapon Ashton Jeanty will look to keep the opposing defense on its toes all night long.

🔼 Clean Sheet. Boise State soccer came out of the match against San Jose State with a win and the first MW clean sheet of the season. With just seconds left in the first half, Kenzie MacMillan slotted the only goal of the game, and eventual game-winner, off a back-heel pass from Carly Cross.

Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw improved to 18 shutouts in her career, tying the program record of career shutouts. She now also ranks fifth in career wins (22), career saves (156) and career goalkeeper minutes (4,195).

Next up, the Broncos will continue to keep the hot streak going against Fresno State on Sunday at the Boas Soccer Complex.
