🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State football dominated in the first half of play against Colorado State, but ultimately fell in the last seconds of the game 31-30 in Fort Collins on Saturday night.

Ashton Jeanty racked up a new career-high 212 rushing yards and added three scores on the night in what was yet another spectacular performance. On defense, Andrew Simpson came away with both an interception and sack on the night.

Bronco football heads into a bye week, and will be back in action to face off against Wyoming at home on Oct. 28.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Clinched. After coming away with a 2-1 win against Fresno State on Sunday afternoon, Boise State soccer clinched a spot in the 2023 Mountain West tournament.

The Broncos jumped out to an early lead after Carly Cross found the back of the net in the 17th minute, and 11 minutes later, Kenzie MacMillan added to the lead with a goal of her own. The win lead to the Broncos earliest secured spot in the MW tournament since 2019, a year the Blue and Orange won the MW title.

🔼 Regular Season Wrap. After defeating eight nationally-ranked teams, Bronco cross country wrapped up the regular season with an eighteenth place finish. The men’s team was led by Joe Hudson who ran his 8K race in 24:11.1 while Kaiya Robertson led the women’s team for the second time this season.

Next up, the postseason begins as both teams head to the Mountain West Championships on Oct. 27.

🔼 How Sweep It Is. Bronco volleyball continued its winning ways after sweeping the match against San Jose State to improve to 6-2 in MW play. Boise State standout Paige Bartsch finished the game with a team-high 14 kills while the serving for the Broncos shined as the team completed 10 aces on the match compared to the Spartans’ two.

Next up, the Broncos will look to continue the hot streak in a bout against San Diego State on Oct. 21.

🔼 Winning Ways. Boise State men’s tennis wrapped up the San Diego Hidden Duals on a winning note. The team finished with nine combined victories across the three days, including a perfect 4-0 finish on the final day of the tournament. Jip van Assendelft finished the weekend with three wins in singles play, and Liam Toroman added another two in both singles and doubles matches.

The team will bounce back into action with the General Patton Classic starting on Oct. 20.
