🔷 ONE BIG THING

For the second time this season, Ashton Jeanty has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list. The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in DI football who was born in Texas or graduated from a Texas high school and exhibits characteristics such as integrity, teamwork and tenacity.

Jeanty’s place on the list was earned thanks in part to his career-high 212 yards and three touchdowns and additional five catches for 42 yards in Saturday’s game against Colorado State. The running back currently leads the FBS in all-purpose yards (1,264) and total touchdowns (15) this season.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 National Recognition. For the first time this season, Bronco men’s cross country entered the top-25 rankings at No. 23 in the USTFCCCA poll. Boise State is the second-highest ranked team in the Mountain West, and also moved up six spots to No. 2 in the West Regional Rankings.

The ranking comes in thanks to the team’s performance at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational where the Blue and Orange bested eight nationally-ranked teams and captured an 18th-place finish. Boise State will bring the new ranking into the MW Championship on Oct. 27.

🔼 Culture Shock. Boise State women’s basketball guard Kaitlin Burgess joins this episode of Culture Shock, a podcast hosted by Track and Field student-athlete Nyenuchi Okemgbo. Burgess discusses her transition from New Zealand to Boise, Idaho.
