🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty was added to the Midseason Maxwell Award Watch List, an award given to college football’s most outstanding player. Jeanty currently leads the nation in eight categories this season, including total touchdowns (15) and all-purpose yards (1,264).

The announcement comes off the heels of three First-Team Midseason All-America selections by AP, ESPN and CBS. He is the only Group of 5 player to be listed on all three teams.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Another Won. After falling behind by one goal in the first half, Bronco soccer rallied back to score two goals in a span of 30 seconds in the second half to top Nevada for the team’s seventh MW win of the season. The win also earned Jim Thomas the most wins by a head coach in program history.

Forward Kenzie MacMillan scored the first goal for the Broncos with an outside-the-box strike in the 78th minute. Then, less than a minute later, Evva Vail looped in the second goal for the Blue and Orange for the game winner. Next up, Boise State soccer will play in its penultimate match of the regular season against UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev. at 1 p.m.

🔼 Earn Everything. Boise State softball is working hard this fall in preparation for the season. Check out the team’s offseason workouts.

🔼 Good Fight. A hard-fought battle against San Diego State resulted in just the third MW loss of the season for Boise State volleyball. The Broncos headed into the third set tied at one apiece, but were unable to come away with another set as the match went on.

Paige Bartsch recorded 25 kills on the match, ranking sixth in during the rally-scoring era in program history. Annie Kaminski added five blocks on the night, and Breanna Mitchell finished with her fourth match of the season with 20-plus digs. Next up, Bronco volleyball will return home to face UNLV on Sunday at noon.

🔼 Play for Patton. This weekend, Bronco men’s tennis prepares for the General Patton Invite, a tournament hosted by Boise State and named after one of the sport’s greatest coaches, Greg Patton. In his 22 years with the Blue and Orange, Patton racked up 491 wins and made 18 NCAA tournament appearances.

🤔 BLUE TURF TRIVIA

200 Club. Running back Ashton Jeanty has put the college football world on notice as one of the best backs in the FBS. After a couple of stellar performances this season, he joins a solid group of former Bronco running backs with 200+ yards in multiple games in one season.

Our question today—can you name the other three Bronco running backs to eclipse 200 yards on the ground multiple times in one season?
