🔷 ONE BIG THING
The nation’s longest home win streak is alive following the Broncos’ 65-58 win over No. 17 ranked Colorado State. In front of a sellout crowd of 12,058, five Boise State players finished the game with double-digits. Junior forward O’Mar Stanley continued to shine with a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Tyson Degenhart and Chibuzo Agbo finished with 13 points apiece while Max Rice and Andrew Meadow put up 11 points on the night.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Strong Start. Now that’s how to start a season! Seniors Courtney Blackson and Emily Lopez each captured Mountain West Specialist of the Week honors following their performances at the season-opening meet. Blackson was named the Floor Specialist of the Week, scoring a 9.875, while Lopez was named Co-Bars Specialist of the Week after earning a 9.875 as well. The pair secured the Broncos' highest scores of the meet in their dual against Utah this past weekend.
🔼 Nation’s Best. Boise State sophomore James Ferguson-Reynolds – a native of Geelong, Australia – finished the season as the FBS national statistical champion in punting with an average of 49.7 yards per punt. His average of 49.7 yards per punt marks the sixth-best season average in FBS history, just shy of a spot in the top five.
🔼 Mic’d Up. Boise State basketball coaches Leon Rice and Gordy Presnell will begin their weekly coaches show tonight. The show will run from 6 - 7 p.m. at 10 Barrel Brewing located at 826 W Bannock St in Boise. The show will also air live on 670 KBOI AM. Each will consist of fan giveaways and the opportunity to interact with Bronco head coaches and student-athletes.
