🔷 ONE BIG THING

After being named the Mountain West’s Offensive Player of the Week, wide receiver Eric McAlister has played his way onto the national stage by being named to the Midseason Watch List of the 2023 Biletnikoff Award, an award that is given to the nation’s best receiver.

This season, McAlister has put up solid numbers: 39 receptions, 788 yards and five touchdowns. He is tied for first in the FBS in contested catches (11) and ranks 10th in receiving yards per game (98.5). It’s no wonder he has officially been considered as one of the best receivers in the nation!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Final Whistle. After a hard-fought battle, the Broncos saw the match into overtime, but were unable to score, falling in to semifinal round of the Mountain West Championships. The match was held scoreless after 90 minutes of play, thanks in part to the performance of goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw and her four saves.

In overtime, Utah State would put away the only goal of the game, eliminating the Broncos from the tournament. The season is now wrapped up for Boise State soccer as the Broncos finished with a stellar 11-4-6 record that included eight conference wins, and a MW tournament win.

🔼 Live On Air. With just five days remaining until the first tip of the Bronco men’s basketball season, Boise State and KTVB reached a TV deal to air 10 of the team’s home games. All 10 games will also be streamed on the Mountain West Network.

🗣️ 'We're excited to partner with a trusted sponsors to enhance the reach of our men's basketball program. This is a great opportunity to tell our story to a wider audience and invite more people to the front porch of the state." - Athletic Director Jeramiah Dickey

🔼 Coming Home. Bronco volleyball returns home after being on the road for both matches last week. Tonight, the team will take on New Mexico and on Saturday, will host Air Force. Against each of these teams at home, the Broncos have a record of 19-4 and are undefeated at Bronco Gym against Air Force.

Entering into the homestand, Paige Bartsch is 39 kills away from becoming the 17th Bronco in history to reach the 1,000-career-kills milestone. She also needs just five more service aces to tie for eighth in the Boise State rally scoring era record.

🤔 BLUE TURF TRIVIA

Goal Goals. Bronco soccer had one heck of a season, and much of the success had by this team was due to the goal scorers at the front of the formation.

Our question today — do you know who finished as the season’s top goal scorer?

📱 FROM THE AD’S DESK

With all the accolades McAlister has received following his performance against Wyoming, it’s no surprise that he added another after being named the Ford Student-Athlete of the Week. The wide receiver becomes the second Bronco football player to receive the award, joining running back Ashton Jeanty who was named the award’s winner on Sept. 27.
