🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State men’s basketball picked up its third victory in Mountain West play to remain undefeated after knocking off Nevada in a 64-56 win on the road. It was only the second win at Lawlor Events Center for the Broncos since the 2016-17 season.

Junior Tyson Degenhart led the team with 20 points and added nine rebounds, four assists and two steals for an impressive stat line. Down the stretch, it was the Broncos’ free throw shooting that came in clutch and helped stave off a comeback from the Wolf Pack after going 17-19 in the second half.

Next up, the Broncos face UNLV at home tomorrow.

🔼 Protecting Home Court. Boise State women’s basketball was able to protect The X on Saturday with a 68-59 win over San Diego State. After building a 21-point lead, the Broncos secured the win with success from the free throw line, draining all six shots with less than a minute left in the game.

🗣️ "This win is a testament to our perseverance and our team chemistry. We were able to stay together as a team. We had a little bit of adversity but we were able to shake it off." - Abby Muse

Bronco guard Natalie Pasco once again led the team with 15 points, and with it, joined the 500-point club alongside Abby Muse, Elodie Lalotte and Mary Kay Naro. Boise State will be back in action on Wednesday as the team heads to San Jose, Calif., for a matchup at San Jose State.

🔼 Running Strong. The Broncos earned eight top-five finishes while 17 Broncos finished with career bests as Boise State track and field kicked off its 2024 campaign at two meets this weekend. Runner Janiah Brown was the sole Bronco to come away with a gold medal after finishing in first place in the 800m with a 2:10.48 race time.

🔼 First Floor. Boise State gymnastics finished second in the nationally-televised Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. The Broncos scored 196.250 to defeat No. 16 Nebraska and No. 33 North Carolina. Junior Emma Loyim won the floor with a score of 9.950, tying the program record and leading the Broncos to a meet-high rotation score of 49.425.

🗣️ "I'm so proud of the team and the growth we had this week. Our floor squad were the stars of the evening with their amazing execution. The energy was contagious." - Bronco gymnastics head coach Tina Bird
