🔷 ONE BIG THING

Following Boise State soccer’s run at the Mountain West Championship, two of its student-athletes were named to the 2023 All-Tournament Team. Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw and midfielder Teryn Newkirk were selected for their individual efforts in the Bronco’s two matches in the tournament.

Crenshaw was honored for her defensive performance in the team’s opening round shutout victory with four saves. Newkirk also earned her selection for her defensive prowess, anchoring the backline.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Ready to Rock. Fresh off the heels of a convincing 82-58 exhibition victory, Boise State women’s basketball team will tip off the regular season today in a contest against the College of Idaho. In the two team’s previous 15 matchups, the Broncos have come away with a victory in each game. Tickets for the season-opener at ExtraMile Arena are available now!

🔼 Battle ‘Til The End. It was a close game to the end, but the Broncos were unable to pull out a come-from-behind victory, falling 37-20 to Fresno State. Quarterback Madsen Maddux put up career numbers as he threw for 256 yards and a touchdown, and added another score on the ground. Running back George Holani, filling in for Jeanty, impressed with 140 all-purpose yards and a touchdown as well.

On defense, linebacker Andrew Simpson led the unit with a career-high 12 tackles, and Seyi Oladipo recorded his first interception of the season, leading to an eventual touchdown for the offense.

🔼 Fall’s Finish. With both men’s and women’s tennis teams finishing up the fall schedule, three Broncos finished the weekend undefeated in singles play. John Chin and James Van Herzeele each finished the SMU Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge with a 4-0 record while Nicole Discenza went 3-0 on the weekend the San Diego State Fall Classic II en route to a silver singles draw title.
