After pulling within two points in the final three minutes, the Broncos were unable to complete the comeback and fell 68-64 to UNLV at ExtraMile Arena. Tyson Degenhart led Boise State in scoring with 24 points — his fourth 20-plus point game this season.

Boise State will now look forward to hosting last season’s national championship runners-up, San Diego State in a nationally televised game on Saturday at 11 a.m. on CBS.

🔼 Weekly Specialists. Senior Emily Lopez, junior Emma Loyim and freshman Victoria Smirnov each earned a Mountain West Specialist of the Week award following their performances at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad. Lopez earned her second-consecutive honor for scoring a 9.900 to finish third on bars. Loyim, with a career-high 9.950 on floor and Smirnov, recording a 9.850 on bars, each earned their first awards of the season.

🔼 Taking On The Spartans.  Boise State women’s basketball is on the road to face San Jose State to take on the Spartans tonight at 8 p.m. for its fifth conference game of the season. The Broncos enter the contest with an 11-6 record after picking up its second MW win of the season with a 68-59 win over Nevada. San Jose State comes into the matchup with a 6-10 record and is 1-3 in conference play.

Boise State currently leads the MW in scoring defense and field goal percentage defense, allowing 56.2 points per game on 35.8% shooting. Offensively, Natalie Pasco leads the team with 13.5 points per game and has reached double-digits in all but three games this season.

🔼 Season Opened. Boise State's men's tennis team opened the spring semester with the Tar Heel Invitational over the weekend against North Carolina and Columbia in the three-day hidden duals event. Senior Caden Moortgat collected a three-set victory over North Carolina after having rallied from a set down, and Bronco duo John Chin and James Van Herzeele led the way with two victories in the tournament.

This week is Boise State gymnastics’ Capes and Crowns meet! Dress up and meet your favorite princesses & superheroes, and the first 50 fans will get a tiara. Plus, a free face painter will be on-site! Doors open at 6 p.m.
