🔷 ONE BIG THING

Thanks to a strong defensive effort, Boise State basketball opened up the season with a win against the College of Idaho. The Broncos held the Yotes to 19.4% shooting from the field, the fifth-lowest in program history. Natalie Pasco led all scorers for Boise State with 12 points, but it was Alyssa Christensen who had the most efficient night on the court, shooting a perfect 4-4 with 10 points.

With the first game of the season over and done with, the Broncos will take the court once again on Nov. 13 at ExtraMile Arena when they face off against Weber State.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 And So It Begins. Boise State men’s hoops will tip off the season at ExtraMile Arena tonight at 7 p.m. against Vanguard, a team in the middle of a transition from NAIA to NCAA DII. The team returns to the court with two of its best players from a season ago. Tyler Degenhart and Max Rice finished the 2022-23 campaign by making All-Mountain West First Team and Second Team, respectively.

🔼 Until Next Time. Combining for 24 victories at two different competitions, Boise State beach volleyball wrapped up action for the fall. Marlayna Bullington and Lily Patock represented the Broncos at the AVCA National Pairs Championship where they went 3-5 with victories over South Carolina, UAB and Jacksonville. The other members of the team traveled to the Grand Canyon Lopes Invitational where Aris Vetter and Abbie Wolf led the team with a 3-2 overall record.

🔼 Broncos Battled. In a match that saw 32 ties and 10 lead changes, the Broncos battled all the way through but were unable to come away with the win. After taking a 27-25 first set win, Boise State volleyball did not record any more wins. Paige Bartsch recorded a team-high 25 kills on the match, and the Broncos as a defensive unit tallied a season-high 16 blocks through the match’s four sets.
