🔷 ONE TWO BIG THINGS
A pair of Bronco basketball players capped off 2023 with memberships in the 1,000-points club. Both Max Rice and Tyson Degenhart were the 33rd and 34th players in school history to surpass the 1,000-point threshold as the Broncos got the win over Utah Valley 85-63. The victory was the 21st-consecutive home win for Boise State tying the longest active home win streak in the country. Rice finished as the game’s leading scorer with 22 points with O’Mar Stanley not far behind with 20 points on an efficient 70% shooting from the field.

After some much-deserved rest, the Broncos will return to the court on Jan. 5 to open up MW play at San Jose State.
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 Last But Not Least. Boise State women’s basketball player Natalie Pasco wrapped up 2023 as the final student-athlete to receive the Ford Boise Student-Athlete of the Week for the year. Her standout performance in San Diego in which she averaged 19.5 points per game in two contests earned her the year’s final award.
Pasco finished as the only women’s basketball player to earn the award during the fall semester and joined a list of 14 other Bronco student-athletes including football’s Ashton Jeanty, volleyball’s Paige Bartsch and soccer’s Kenzie MacMillan.
🔼 New Year, New Broncos. Boise State football added to its coaching staff by bringing on co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach Tyler Stockton. The newest coach led the Ball State defense to top-25 national rankings in rush defense (20th) and total defense (21st) while ranking 32nd nationally in pass defense.
Stockton wasn’t the only addition to the staff as head coach Spencer Danielson announced director of sports performance Ben Hilgart, cornerbacks coach Demario Warren and co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Nate Potter will remain with the Blue and Orange.
🔼 Year to Remember. Bronco soccer had a great 2023 with many milestones and achievements that will live on in Boise State soccer history. A few of those include:
Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw’s record-breaking 19th shutout of her career earned her the most in program history.
Setting the single-season attendance record with 10,832 fans.
Head coach Jim Thomas achieved the most wins in program history with the 2-1 victory over Nevada for his 112th victory.
