Following a career night for guard Chibuzo Agbo, the Bronco men’s basketball senior was named the Ford Boise State Student-Athlete of the Week. Agbo is the first student-athlete from either basketball program to earn the award this season.

🔼 Praise For Jeanty. Recognized as both a running back and all-purpose player, Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty was named honorable mention All-America by CBS Sports.

The Texas native has an impressive collection of accolades so far this season. He earned Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year and garnered first-team All-America honors from College Football Network. On top of it all, on Tuesday he announced that he will return to Boise State next season, stating "I will be a Bronco for life!"

🔼 High Score at Home. Four Broncos finished in double-digits as the offense powered Boise State to an 87-66 win over Cal State Bakersfield. Mya Hansen was one of three players to finish the game with 15 points, and added seven rebounds, two assists and a steal. Abby Muse came up big on the defensive end of the court with nine rebounds and four blocks on the night.

The Broncos have started the season 6-0 at home for just the ninth time in program history, and now sit at 7-2 for the season. Up next, Boise State will head to Provo, Utah for a bout against BYU on Saturday at 2 p.m.

🔼 Man of the Year. Each year, one representative from each NFL team is chosen as its nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year, an award that goes to the player that exhibits excellence both on and off the field. The winner of the award each year receives a $250,000 donation to the charity of his choice, and all 32 nominees receive up to a $55,000 donation to their charity of choice. The winner of this year's Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award will be announced live at NFL Honors on Thursday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. MT on CBS.
