Good Morning, Bronco Nation 2/3: Broncos = Best, Bar None

Boise State Gymnastics earned a first-place victory over Utah State and Sacramento State on Friday, with all six Broncos scoring 9.800 or higher on bars.

Good Morning, Bronco Nation! The Boise State gymnastics squad earned a first-place victory in ExtraMile Arena on Friday. The Broncos (195.925) topped Utah State (195.850) and Sacramento State (194.600) with a season-high team score, along with season-highs on vault (48.950), bars (49.150) and beam (48.925). The squad also achieved a season-high overall score of 195.925.

All six Broncos scored 9.800 or higher on bars. This is the first time Boise State's entire bars lineup has scored 9.800 or above since March 31, 2022, when it achieved the feat in the second round of NCAA Regionals.

๐Ÿ”ผ In Sweeping Fashion. The Boise State men's tennis team opened the home slate with a pair of dominating performances to sweep Idaho State 4-0 and Eastern Washington 7-0 at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center on Friday.

Boise State did not surrender a point, winning by a combined 11-0. The Broncos won 26 sets and lost only two on the day.

๐Ÿ”ผ Meadow Makes His Mark. Led by Andrew Meadow, who recorded his second 20-point performance of the season, Boise State defeated Fresno State, 82-60, on Saturday afternoon inside ExtraMile Arena. The Broncos have now won six consecutive games against Fresno State and are 30-22 all time versus the Bulldogs.
 
Team captains Alvaro Cardenas and Tyson Degenhart each scored 13 points for the Broncos. Cardenas added seven assists while Degenhart grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

๐Ÿ”ผ The Gold Standard. Boise State menโ€™s and womenโ€™s track & field teams saw two athletes enter the program record book as the team finished competition in Seattle, Washington and Lubbock, Texas, Saturday afternoon. The Broncos recorded 15 personal bests across the two meets, also earning five top-three finishes.

Landon Helms led the way  at the Stan Scott Invitational in Lubbock, tying for third in program history with a pole vault of 16 feet, 9.25 inches. He also scored 5394 points in the men's heptathlon, marking the second-highest total in Boise State history. Also in Texas, Yasmin Marghini took first in the women's mile, running a personal best time of 4:49.19.

๐Ÿ”ผ Blip For Blue and Orange. The Boise State women's basketball team struggled to score on Saturday, losing 79-45 to Wyoming on Saturday. Tatum Thompson was the lone player in double figures for the Blue and Orange, finishing with 11 points and five rebounds. Elodie Lalotte chipped in nine points for the squad.
