Good Morning, Bronco Nation! Boise State added five to its 2025 newcomer class on National Signing Day on Wednesday, including three high school signees, an FBS transfer and a junior college transfer.

The newcomer class, which now totals 33, grew with Wednesday's five additions: running back Greg Ard, defensive lineman Bethel Imasuen, wide receiver Kamryn Jones, defensive lineman David Latu and defensive back Sherrod Smith. Ard, Imasuen and Jones are freshmen and Latu and Smith are transfers.

The entire 2025 newcomer class features 19 defensive players -- including nine defensive backs and eight along the defensive line -- 13 offensive players and one specialist.

🔼 Mother Nature Mandates. The Boise State softball season opener against Sacramento State, originally scheduled for today, has been postponed due to inclement weather. No makeup date has been set. Updates will be provided on BroncoSports.com. The Broncos are slated to begin the 2025 campaign on Feb. 7 with a game against Saint Mary's. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. MT.

🔼 Hey DJ, Play That (Winning) Song. Boise State's Dylan Jaen has been named the Mountain West Men's Tennis Freshman of the Week— his first career weekly honor. Jaen had a breakout week for the Broncos, going 4-0 and helping Boise State sweep instate-rival Idaho State 4-0, followed by a 7-0 victory over Eastern Washington last week.
 
In the win over Idaho State, Jaen and doubles partner Taiyo Kurata won 7-5 on court three, tying the doubles team score at 1-1 and keeping the Broncos in the hunt for the team point, which they eventually won. In singles, Jaen recorded the Broncos' first win, defeating his opponent in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 to hand Boise State a 2-0 advantage in the match.

🔼 Barring Any Unforeseen Circumstances. Boise State ranks 18th in the nation on bars as a team, averaging a score of 49.025. The Broncos also hold the highest ranking of any non-power four opponent!

This docuseries is an initiative to bring light to the great female student-athletes we have in this league and encourage basketball fans to fall in love with those players, their team and MW women’s hoops.

A new episode will be posted weekly on Mountain West Network platforms, giving fans an inside look into MW WBB.

🔼 A Tale of Two Halves. Boise State women's basketball fell to Nevada 69-61 on Wednesday night even though the Wolf Pack (10-14, 5-6 Mountain West) trailed by eight at halftime.

During that hard-fought hardwood battle, Bronco squad members scored in double figures, with Dani Bayes (who drilled a trio of 3-pointers), Natalie Pasco and Tatum Thompson each netting 13 points.
