🔷 ONE BIG THING
Boise State senior pitcher Taylor Caudill and freshman outfielder Sophia Knight were honored by the Mountain West for their performances at the Kajikawa Classic. Caudill won the conference's pitcher of the week award while Knight was named both player and freshman of the week.
🥎 Caudill won each of her four appearances with a 0.33 ERA, 0.33 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 21 innings. She retired 62 of 73 batters faced and only allowed four baserunners to reach second base. She earned victories against No. 20 Northwestern, St. Thomas and capped the weekend with a five-hitter on the road against 2023 WAC champion Grand Canyon, handing the Lopes their first loss of 2024.
🥎 Knight began her collegiate career in style, hitting safely out of the leadoff spot in each of Boise State's five games. She batted .632 with a .842 slugging percentage and 1.474 OPS. The Huntington Beach, Calif., product recorded three hits against St. Thomas, Wisconsin and Arizona State.

🔼 Getting It Done. Boise State women’s golf advanced to the semifinals at the Mountain Classic Match Play after defeating Portland State 3-0-2. Victories from Macee Greenwood, Leia Chung and Teal Matsueda and earned the Broncos the win with all three matches ending 4&2. Day two will feature the Broncos taking on St. Thomas for a chance to advance to the championship match on Wednesday.
🔼 Home Sweet Home. Coming off a clean sweep against the College of Idaho, Boise State women’s tennis will host Oregon and Minnesota starting on Friday. The Broncos have recorded two wins against each program, and are undefeated against the Golden Gophers all-time. Heading into the matches, Nicole Discenza and Ella Piron lead Boise State with nine wins each in singles play while the duo of Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Heffernan has tallied a team-high 11 doubles wins this season.
