🔷 ONE BIG THING

Boise State men’s basketball put together a complete team performance en route to its 82-50 win against San Jose State at The X. The victory marked the second in a row for the Broncos and improved the team’s conference record to 9-4 on the season. Tyson Degenhart finished the game as the team’s leading scorer with 15 points while Chibuzo Agbo and Max Rice added another 14 to the scoreboard. The Blue and Orange shot an impressive 53.7% from the field and made 10 shots from beyond the arc.

Next up, the Broncos will take on Wyoming for its first of two road games on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Special Seniors. The trio of Courtney Blackson, Emily Lopez and Adriana Popp each received Mountain West Specialist of the Week accolades following their performances in the Broncos' victories over Sacramento State and Southern Utah. Blackson earned her fifth weekly conference honor of the season after her career-high and program-record score of 9.950 on floor. Lopez earned her fifth weekly honor as well after tying her season-best score of 9.950 on bars. Popp was selected for her first weekly award of the season following her 9.950 score on beam.

🔼 Back In Boise. Boise State women’s basketball will begin a two-game homestand today at 6:30 p.m. against New Mexico. The two teams are within a game of each other in the MW standings as the Lobos are tied for second and have a one-game lead over the Broncos. Earlier this season, Boise State defeated New Mexico 64-56 earlier in the season on the road. Senior Elodie Lalotte scored a season-high 19 points and the Broncos’ leading scorer, Natalie Pasco, finished with 16. Boise State has an 11-2 record at ExtraMile Arena this season and has been outscoring teams by an average of 17 points per game.

🔼 All Time Swimmers. The Mountain West continued its celebration of the league's 25th season with the unveiling of the Mountain West 25th Season Women's Swimming and Diving Team. The team included 25 swimmers and 10 divers, five of which came from Boise State. Swimmers Brittany Aoyama, Amber Boucher, Emma Chard, Abbey Sorensen and Sam Wicks all were selected for the all-time team – the most of any school.

🔼 Legacy Endowment. Boise State Athletics announced the official launch of the Mike Campbell Legacy Project Endowment. The fund has been established by Bronco alumni Booker Brown (men's basketball 1971-73), Trent Johnson (men's basketball 1974-78), and Carl Powell (men's basketball, 1977-79), to help fund scholarships for student-athletes and preserve an inclusive experience at Boise State. The scholarship is named in honor of Campbell, who passed away in November 2022.
